My point still stands. Any ron paul thread or any anti Romney thread zeb is pure troll. His responses consist of ad hominem. In fact most are pretty formulaic

Discount poster due to age + Ad Hominem + derail spirit of the thread= zeb post. Not exactly conductive to debate.

Zeb I find it hard to believe you of all people, who has been telling us for over 3 years now how all politicians are shills and/or hypocrites, will just believe Romney’s campaign promises off the cuff.

I see no reason to believe a man that instituted socialized medicine would remove Obamacare. I see, at most, him trying to “tweak” or “adjust” Obamacare to be more “moderate republican”. I don’t care how many people you promise something. Every single presidential candidate has broken major campaign promises.

Further I think this is a good promise from his standpoint to make because I see the SCOTUS striking down the mandate and most, if not all, of the law before the election. That means that Romney can run on a “well I would have” and nobody can tell him he’s lying. He won’t have to pony up to get rid of it because it will already be gone. And if it’s not struck down you have the backing of the SCOTUS and at least 1 conservative justice to say to the people who got you elected in essence "well he says it’s ok, so I think we just need to adjust things here to make it ‘better’ ". Besides which he can still say to his supporters, “I’m not as bad as Obama would have been, aren’t you glad you voted for me?”

To which I will say “no, absolutely not”. But I had to anyway.

Finally, cutting taxes to Ronald Reagan levels? I don’t buy that for a minute either–that’s Romney invoking the ghost of Reagan to try to appeal to the people who don’t like him by using Reagan’s visage. Sure he may cut taxes a little, but I don’t think he’ll actually follow through on the Reagan levels because he knows it’s just a campaign promise.

Now if you can actually refute what I’ve posted that might be better way to express yourself

Can you do it?

No, as a matter of fact you dont. you ignore everything a dissenting opinion posts.

That’s odd I was talking to Draugr and you answer. Are you using two screen names Sparky?

Did you forget which screen name you logged on with? You know I didn’t think there could actually be two people that stupid and both entering PWI at just about the same time. But it all makes sense now.

Well this is just a little embarrassing for you huh? Eh…you’re probably used to being embarrassed by now right?

It’s always fun when little dirt bags like you find PWI with your insightful comments “That asshole Romney bla bla bla.” LOL-- The regulars get a free laugh and everyone is happy.

Oh well post back soon will you? We are looking forward to your next gem.

But whatever you do don’t leave this thread until I tell you to!

All you have to do is post the things that you disagree with regarding what I’ve written about Romney or Paul. But you’d rather cry “sniff sinff Zeb’s a troll…Wahhh boo hoo…” Translation “I don’t understand all the big words but I know that “troll” is a word no one likes so I’ll use it.”

As for the actual topic? I don’t see a way around what Thunderbolt said on the first page. Obama will claim a demand for more and BOY OH BOY will he do his best to deliver. Furthermore. What’s the basis for arguing with him? A second term would mean they DO want more.

I disagree with this part, just means he somehow, whether through fraud or divided votes. And whether or not the masses want more, the role of the president is to uphold the constitution, nothing more. And he has done nothing but trash our rights. following the legacy of the Texan before him.

No, that’s the role of the judiciary. President gets some limited, enumerated powers. You should read the constitution Mr. Ron Paul.

Oh sure. Obama was elected in 2008 on a platform of having “talks” with Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinejad. How’d those “talks” work out then? Immediately upon election Obama flew to Egypt and gave a humiliating speech calling America the “largest Muslim country in the world.” He then travelled all over the Middle East(except Israel of course) and made similar speeches. NASA was no longer for space exploration but for “reaching out to the Muslim world.” How’d that work out then? How about the “reset” button? I found that extremely humiliating. How about handing Tunisia, Libya and Egypt to the Islamists? Funding the Muslim Brotherhood? Little chats with the Taliban in Qatar? Aggressive demands to Israelis about where they are and aren’t allowed to build on their own land? Funding, arming and training Fatah. A series of “leaks” - the first by Panetta himself - preventing Israeli strikes on Iran. How about refusing to recognise the capital of Israel in breach of U.S. law?

'Senator Rick Santorum has an important oped in the New York Daily News today about how the Obama administration is breaking US law by not recognizing that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

As he writes:

It is actually not well known that the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 made it U.S. law to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and that the waiver provision of the act only applied to moving the embassy to Jerusalem. A letter to President Bill Clinton – signed by 84 U.S. senators, including me – articulated this point.’

What are the purposes of those powers?
