HaHa. But yes 200 if your blood work calls for it why not. That’s a pretty typical amount for a guys with high SHGB who makes very little Free T. Free T seems to be what they target not TT.
If you go to their website store you can see everything they sell. HGH, thyroid meds, peptides, AIs, clomid and much more.
well 200mg would probably have me a bit over the top of the range for free T, not vastly above, but a bit above. Total T would be around 900-1000 if I shot 100mg 2x/wk, with once/wk my nadir would probs be like 700. I’m not in the USA though I was just curious
I’ve been with them for over 3 years. It took them 2 bloodtests one protocol change and 3 months to get me smiling again. I’ve not made any protocol changes since.
Here’s my latest bloods. What do you think? My SHGB was 29 and I inject twice a week.
What do I think, well your HCT is boarderline, I personally wouldn’t want anything above 54%, and if I was over 40 I wouldn’t want anything over 50% your ferratin may drop too low if you opt to donate blood or go for therapeutic phlebotomy, so that could be an issue. Besides that, your numbers look great, if you feel good then I don’t see a huge issue, what’s your protocal, 200mg/wk?
You must feel stellar on this protocol. Why did it take 3 months to see results?
Also, is there no way around the $250 sign-up fee? Sounds high, especially if, for some reason, my labs are “within range” and they don’t even treat me. Other than that, I hear that the monthly cost is reasonable.
Just to give you an idea of how low my blood pressure normally is, a few days before going on TRT, it was measured at 105/66, which is quite below my reading yesterday.
Also my SHBG was 49nmol/L at that time. What does that mean to you?
Yes adult male. 150mg/wk T cyp, 800iu HCG, .125mg Anastrozole on hand if needed.
I agree with your assessment. However my numbers are stable without donating blood. I’ve looked at it like this. I feel great, I love the high 30’s for Free T, The thicker blood with no BP issues is a OK trade off (pre TRT HCT was 49). I have started supplement the ferritin and will see where that goes.
I don’t believe you pay the 250 sign-up until post blood test. Maybe that changed. So buy the preTRT male blood test. The lab will email you a copy. Then you deside if you want to join them and pay the 250. If they want the 250 up front then go buy your own blood test from the internet there are lots of places that do this at great prices. If you need help reading your test we can help you. If you buy the test from a reputable site that uses companies like LabCorp. Defy will use that test as long as you measured everything they need.

In my experience as a customer that provides my own lab tests that are paid by my insurance,
Defy waits until receiving all blood results before scheduling or charging for the initial (and follow up) appointments.
Would you be able to tell me how low the levels have to be for Defy to treat? I mean, for instance, if my total testosterone is hovering around 300 ng/dL do you think they would treat? Or would it have to be lower, like below 250 ng/dL?
Defy will treat anything below 550 ng/dL, labs can be off by as much as 100 ng/dL which is why anyone scoring at the bottom of the ranges should be considered for TRT.
actually it’s even worse than that now man, I’ve seen some labs say 100ng/dl or in some cases, even lower, like 80-90ng/dl being touted as normal for adult men. Some ref ranges now even cut off at 500ng/dl, if you don’t believe me you can look up people posting their bloods on here and other forums, or I can link a study that highlights the inconsistency of reference ranges for testosterone. I once had a lab that said 4nmol was normal and anything above 20 was supraphysiolgic.
The old labcorp ref range was like 350-1200 or something, I forgot the exact numbers, that was a legit solid ref range.
I appreciate it. I am having trouble making a decision here because of my bad experiences with the protocol I am currently on. What do you think I should do? Should I wait a certain time before I get labs or do them now?
If I get labs done now I feel like there’s no telling where my levels will be. Testosterone and e2 are all over the place. Defy would probably know something is up. It could take weeks before my levels stabilize.
Is thyroid testing included in their initial battery of tests?
No the complete thyroid panel is $240.
If you are already on a TRT protocol with another clinic or doc you just need to let Defy know what it is. Then your blood test should make sense. If you are just fing around with black market shit you’re going to have problems. I’d also be careful of the lying I’m sure they have heard it all.
No black market shit. Just a poorly designed protocol by schmucks who don’t know what they are doing.
I just don’t want to have a problem with lab work and Defy doesn’t want to treat me. From the sound of it, they are eager to treat anyone. Initially I couldn’t believe when systemlord said they treat anyone below 500 ng/dL.
I have no idea if that statement is true or not.
I do know defy does not just give T to anyone who asks. Esp if you are under 35.
Your best bet is to tell them the truth all of it and see what they say.
Not sure if something has changed but Mary at Defy tells me I have to pay $279 to get lab work BEFORE the $250 consultation.
I realize that in the long-term Defy may be a more effective and cost-effective option than most alternatives but it’s a lot of money to shell out before receiving any treatment or filling any prescriptions.
You figure, these two payments, plus my first month’s treatment, will run me close to $700. Then follow-up labs etc., after 60 days.
You don’t remember having to pay for the labs before treatment?
