That better not be an f’ing spoiler…
So God’s really a large reptile living in a time when man exists?
Whoa! Creationists’ heads just exploded!
Movie was… meh. Great first act and fantastic performance by Heisenberg though.

I was afraid of this. Still might give it a try though. Later anyway.

My thoughts too. And it wasn’t nearly as IMAX 3D friendly as I thought it would be.
Just got back from the movies not bad they needed more Gojira seemed like he was barely in the film
I liked the movie. Maybe not as much action as I expected. Still miles ahead of the Godzilla from the 90’s.
It is awesome. If you disagree, you are wrong.
It seems that Japanese fans think the American Godzilla is too fat.

I too thought it looked rather… rounded.
Slight spoiler, but omfg sickest monster K.O. EVER. If you’ve seen it you know what I’m talking about.
I loved it. Finally a movie that appears to understand pacing.
It took it’s time to actually build up and had effective action, thoroughly teased throughout, rather than overly extended CGI crap.
My only gripe, which is very slight, was with Ford Brody always conveniently being in the right place for each action set piece.
PS - Seeing that Atomic Breath build up was glorious.
So, I watched the film and found the reviews about it more or less spot-on.
-The moments when Godzilla is on the screen are great. The direction of the scenes themselves make both him and the MUTOs simply awe-inspiring every time they show up on screen. THIS is how invincible monsters should be portrayed. Brilliantly done.
-There is not enough Godzilla on the screen. He is a supporting character in a movie that bears his name…
-The main lead (Ford) is boring. You feel no sense of urgency or atmosphere from him at all, and it detracts from the film whenever he’s the focus on the screen.
But, then, I got to thinking, what if it’s deliberate? I don’t want to post spoilers so early so I’ll wait a couple of days before I post my thought on how his character may be deliberately written that way.

True however it also creates a huge plot hole since what does the MOTU use for sustenance?
I have to call bullshit on this Monthra has always been depicted as the Earth’s protector

You might like to eat steak, but what would happen if someone shoved 100 lbs of it down your throat?
Also, if you’re looking for plot holes in a movie about 300’ tall monsters, I think you walked in the wrong theater.
Loved it. Slow in spots but the build up was completely worth the delivery. A perfect homage to the old Godzilla flicks (even down to the robust lower half) mixed with a modern take. Can’t imagine not seeing it at least once more on the big screen.

SPOILER
I thought it was an electrical charge, not radiation. He also ripped its head off after, so there’s that.
