I,BB The Next Level?

Was wondering what people would like to see after level 1 is completed…

Im just waiting for a program that powerlifters can follow. There is already a lot of powerlifters that are trying the program because of the strength gain that are reported from it. Honestly i didnt see it carrying over to my main lifts at all, with the exception of deadlift.

That’s because there is a difference between being strong, and being able to showcase the strength in the competitive lifts.

The powerlifts, when executed for max strength, are highly technical and the slightest drop in technical efficiency will lead to lowered performance even if muscle strength is up.

The I,BODYBUILDER program (which is NOT a powerlifting program) uses the deadlift and some variations a lot (which allows you to keep your technique sharp) but doesn’t use the bench and squat as much. So yeah, there will be an initial performance drop from lowered technical efficiency.

We’ll have one that continues in the I,BODYBUILDER vein, with added techniques.

One program will branch out to a higher volume bodybuilding approach, while still respecting the autoregulation and perfect rep principles.

The third one will focus on building maximum strength in the basic lifts or movements patterns.

I know the program wasnt for powerlifters but i was intrigued about the strength gains that have been listed from using the program. I do think however that if you run the entire program, then go back to training westside or whatever powerlifting program, in the long term your lifts will go up. Either because you are a more balanced lifter or because the program brought up any weaknesses.
