You said the US would not allow foriegn people to vote for the wrong guy and then the next sentence gave an example where the US did exactly that.

I read Zinn’s History of the United States pages 76- 81 like you said. I could find nothing aggregious there.
As for that article. I don’t know Kazin but i do know that Maurice Isserman was a democratic socialist, i assume, he still is, he also use to teach at Smith college in Northampton Mass. I don’t know if he still does.
