How to Get Bigger?

You are a type of internet troll hybrid that hasn’t yet been given a name. People here will know what I mean: single sentence posts with no punctuation, a total inability to assimilate advice or respond in a way that indicates any comprehension or engagement, etc.

I don’t believe you exist.

Grow supplements? I know a supplement you can grow to make you hungrier

Let’s review your posts so far.

Several people responded to this by telling you to up your caloric intake, to work on progression in the gym, and to research “bulking” for specific guidlines.

I applaud you for eating “lots of meat”, but you may need to eat more meat, and more calories in general in order to gain weight. I’ve never used weight gainer supplements so I have no recommendation, but I think your primary focus should be to get your solid nutrition in order.

??? from me too. People have answered your questions.

This is what prompted my earlier reply. You keep on asking the same question but with various naive insertions, i.e. “i eat lots of meat”, “what kinds of supplements”, “weight gainer”, etc. when people are telling you YOU NEED TO EAT MORE FOOD AND LIFT HEAVIER SHIT.

There’s a bit more to it than that, but first you have to indicate that you actually read it and processed it. Even if you posted something like “so u guys r sayin i need 2 eet mor lift mor??? wut?” that would be a sign of progress.

A gallon of milk a day + whatever else you need. Bodyweight x 20 = What you eat to get big. Yes, thats it, SQUATS AND MILK. sQUaTs AnD miLK! sQUaTs AnD miLK! Periodization.

Btw, your not ripped.

You’re absolutely right  I got lazy. I meant “You are not ripped.” Look at the belly.

thanks for the advice. So i need to do heavy weights low reps and eat a shit load of food . It makes me think i’ll get strong and fat, getting fat must be the side affect of getting big . My skinny bean pole days are comming to a end . i’ll post a progress pic in 2 months thanks

I thought that too, but some other people on here helped me figure it out. Heres the way I think it works:

You eat in surpluss, roughly the same amount every day. (count if you have to) You gain a little fat at first, but your body adapts to the increased food intake by building muscle which in turn is metabolically active and increases your body’s energy requirements.

So you’ll basically gain muscle and fat, but eventually that caloric intake will just fuel the amount of energy needed to grow muscle. Then you will stop gaining at this amount because it is only enough to maintain.

You add 500 extra cals to your diet and start the cycle over. Start with bodyweight X 18 or 20. You should be shooting for a pound or two a week but 3lb in 4 weeks is very good too. Make sure you drink lots of milk.

Im no expert, but its working for me. Much better than any “bulk/cut” cycle i’ve done in the past.

I knew something looked fishy with that pic.

Of course it’s functional!!!

Pull-ups, push-ups, bodyweight squats and lunges along with a bunch of dumbbell exercises and all that other good stuff. It blows Bowflex out of the water!

Look at the pic above with Tony Horton (inventor) and some hot chick. That’s functional yo![/quote]

P90X is pretty decent, some Cds well made are very hard. But for sure you have to keep in mind that they want to sell so they made it for the average customer.

I have a bowflex, free weights, and the P90X series. Each seem to have their place. The bowflex is a proportionate, full-range resistance, so your muscles at full contraction are not robbed by the limited weight you can life while extended…

the pumps are much different than free weights, too…feels like Popeye when he blows air into his thumb and his arm inflates  I’m only 30, and free weights seem to take a toll on my body, but who can stay away from them?

Tony Horton and the P90X gang are some of the most wicked athletes I’ve ever seen…the first time I worked out with this was a rather humbling experience.

DaveRock, you’re right that Beach Body markets P90X to the ‘average customer’, probably to sell more of course, but this series is ideal for the advanced athlete (triathletes, etc.).

The original Power90 was ideal for the average joe and jane, but much shorter and lower impact. I’ve used both, and the difference is night and day.

I’d like to get some peoples take on this: I have a lower metabolism (I guess), so I have a tendency to keep a few extra pounds on. I’ve heard its hard to gain muscle while shedding fat, but it just seems to me that it IS possible. How can I find that balance with getting bigger but not fatter?

lmao. “you are” a dink

Not exactly ripped, but lean for sure. OK shoulders/traps, upper arms are good, although the forearms and upper chest need work. Get bigger if that’s your thing, but don’t sacrifice the waistline.
