Honestly, over the course of this thread I totally forgot that this was for school rather than for a position…
The suit might be overkill.

Congrats, FF!
Just a little story:
When I was in art school, we were required to take a portfolio class that prepared you in all aspects of self-promotion, presentation, etc. At the end we would participate in a mock interview with a potential employer, and the whole thing was videotaped for later scrutiny by your teachers and fellow classmates.
I hated this sort of thing and intentionally went in dressed like crap (I was in a punk rock phase), and acted unprofessional and disorderly (at one point even non-nonchalantly flipping the bird toward the camera), yet my portfolio was strong. I wanted to see if my work alone could sell me in spite of my personal appearance/behavior.
Well, my video was a hit with my peers, but the teaching staff and administration all agreed it was the worst video (even though some vids showed students who looked great but their art portfolios were shit).
The school then used my video as a teaching aid as THE example of what NOT to do at an interview
lol
Congrats! You must have followed my advice.
I never understood why someone would want this job - but fuck I’m glad people do!
