I don’t think of it as “peer pressure.” But “curious” definitely. I find myself more educated and less close-minded about “the evils of steroids.” And T-Nation has made me not only make more progress, but also feel like I can make far more progress than I have. AAS is one path to that end, so I find myself thinking about it.

I think I fall into the category of the followers of the 11th Commandment: “Thou shalt not get caught.” Fear of the legal consequences is probably my greatest fear. Don’t know what I’d think/do if they were easily available.

But this site makes you think.

Rainjack, this is a provocative statement. Care to elaborate?

I agree with you whole-heartedly. The pros far, far outweigh the cons.

I am more able to enjoy just being alive while on test. I have no empirical data such as blood tests, or anything, to offer as proof that I had low test, but I have enough anecdotal proof to make me a believer.

My sex drive improved from barely there to feeling like an 18 year-old kid. I was less consumed by the stresses of everyday life. My anger issues disappeared - as I normally have a horribly short fuse. Most of all I saw that my wife enjoyed me being more of the ‘me’ that she fell in love withand less the asshole I had become.

Those are the real reasons I love test, and will probably never come off.

just keep it reasonable, depression and anxiety addly enough will occur when your test level is too low and also when it is too high, it sounds like you have found a happy medium which is great. I finally came off after many years and my mood is definetly not as good right now, i still take a maintenance dose (200mg) prescribed by a doctor. This would normally be high for most HRT applications but when you are use to taking 1000mg per week your body still percieves it as a reduction. But it is getting better, if i do any cycling in the future it will be 4 weeks at a time with fast acting compounds followed by 8-12 weeks off.

Hey Pain, forgive me if this ? has already been answered but how long was the longest your where on and at what doses/what compounds? In other words how did you manage to “screw yourself up”. BTW, please dont’ take that as a bash or me being a prick, although I’m pretty sure you undertand and won’t take it like that. Thanks in advance.

Until recently (october 2005) i had been on nonstop for probably 5 or 6 years, dosages in the 800 to 1500mg range total. Its the fear of not being able to retain the muscle that does it. Regardless of what they claim i would say 75% of users rarely come off completely. As far as that goes even the recovery period for most guys is just another set of drugs.

I don’t consider a guy recovered just because he takes a 4 week break and takes nolvadex or clomid or whatever, you are still dependant on drugs to maintain your system.

Well I’ll chime in, 44 years old, did my 1st at 41, and 4 more since. I kind of have a winter bulker followed by a spring/summer cutter. I just posted my next cycle and it’s a big one for me. I am anxious to get started. I love the feeling of test and I have discussed HRT w/ my doc. I am trying to get my body to a certain point and then I’ll maintain that as long as I can.

Currently 32, started when I was 27. Had I reached my genetic peak - definitely not. So why use AAS? A BURNING curiosity that would in no way be satisfied by reading about them. Also, my ectomorphic frame has a hard time putting on muscle. Furthermore, aas are perfectly legal here, so no legal issues to hold me back…[/quote]

It’s legal in Wales?

Yes, I don’t mean peer pressure in the sense of, ‘You have to do this to fit in.’ But you’re exposed to a lot. And it just makes you curious, even just from an intellectual standpoint. I just have the desire to learn what it’s all about and have been reading up and asking questions. I don’t think I’d do steroids close to now. Much because I don’t relish the thought of injecting and complicated PCT. But I’m considering a MAG-10 cycle for after this bout of endurance training, in which I’m bound to lose muscle (maybe a little already).

? 75% migth be a little on the high side bro. I dunno, I dont’ count pct as time off really. Plus I always stick to time on = time off, but then again I’m not most guys. 5 or 6 years strait though ! That’s pretty extreme to say the least. How where you in terms of using orals? Assuming you did use them could you maybe give some insight on how long and at what mg you ran various orals? And if it’s not asking to much, what kinda shape is your liver in and did you ever have any issues with it? ONce again thanks bro,I’d never go on for that long and have no real interest in competing right now but it’s very interesting and can be nothing but helpful for others as well as myself to talk to someone who’s “been down that road” before.
