How Does This Bloodwork Look?

Sure, why not?

After TWO phone calls with 3 different people at the Urology office today, they’ve finally seen where someone wrote down notes that they thought I only wanted to have my bloodwork monitored. They had not written anything down about transferring my TRT treatment to them. Supposedly, I will get a call back from the actual doctor this afternoon after his appointments have concluded. Anyone taking bets as to whether or not it happens?

Don’t follow lab ranges. Follow symptom relief. Find a doc who does that and won’t get scared from labs. The lab ranges have dropped every year (I think). Free t ranges were much higher twenty years ago. Shit they were higher recently. These docs might of said your not high enough 5 years ago and upped your dosage. It’s bullshit. Labs and docs are in the insurance companies pockets. Insurance wants to get ranges to the point where they don’t have to treat a man . They realize it’s an epedemix. If the low range was 400, millions more men would be given T via insurance.

You need a doc who is not scared of these numbers and instead cares to produce symptom relief for men. They are our there . Even some clinics operate like this.

Does high T directly effect blood thickness? I’ve had to donate once, when I was still at 175mg. That needle is not cool.

It can then you lower dose a little bit. Depends by how much. They say the first year it always goes up but then levels out after year 1. It’s expected.

Can you link me to where they say that?

Thanks!

This was in a video i saw of two or three docs talking on the TOT revo round table channel on youtube. i remember it clearly. One of the docs stated “i expect HCT to rise when someone starts trt and then it stablizes after a while”. i belive he said a year, maybe it was 6 months or 1.5 years . you can listen to the last dozen videos and youll find it… ill see if i i can recall which video after a quick peek. stand by.

This is a good video with crissler New Data On Why Some Men Don’t Need Phlebotomy w/ Dr. John Crisler - YouTube

Sweet thanks! Going to watch these as I am getting annoyed at the being forced to donate blood request over and over again (I keep fighting it).

What is your hct at. its normal for men on trt to have elevated HCT because they are at there natural level. I can see folks getting scared but man we have to realize T increases RBC, your body was out of balance before trt therefore all values were skewed and etc…

find a new clinic … there are many out there and a couple i would call first .

I just cheked my pre trt blood test and my hematocrit was 37…This shows that man with low t has low hct and it will obviously increase to normal when trt is started. i am not stating this factually just logically.

If your Free T is over range even just on peak times your HCT will increase. Your docs are asking you to donate to keep you from having a blood clot and high blood pressure. You only get to donate blood for so long before you crash your ferritin and yes you can die from that.
So once your ferritins has crashed and you can no longer donate your doc will cut or pull your script so your family does not sue him for your death.
Get you TRt into a good range meaning nothing is over range even on peak days and then blast twice a year for your gains in the gym. Its pretty simple if you don’t die before you figure it out.

Hematocrit doesn’t cause blood clots, a rare blood clotting disorder does. Olympians train at high altitudes to take advantage of the higher hematocrit and high oxygen carrying capability of higher hematocrit. People living in the Himalayas have high hematocrit and live long normal lives.

Doctors are just following their training because there’s a type of cancer that causes high hematocrit that can cause blood clotting, so doctors see high hematocrit and freak out.

Don’t lecture me about Hematocrit Dr. SL I live at 8000ft and deal with HCT on TRt all the time I know what I am taking about. How about googling venous and arterial thrombosis and while you are at it look up HCt and stroke.

Bro watch that video above. If backs up what system stated. I know you’ve researched and talked your self nunb on this subject but that video talks directly at what system and you just exchanged.

End of day everyone isn’t different and we cannot deny what another’s feels in terms of symptoms.

So my Hematocrit was 50.7 the day I walked into the office for the first time ever and he drew my blood. I had never been on anything in my entire life. Not one hit of marijuana, one lick of acid paper and in fact no prescriptions. I ate mostly healthy, was in great shape most of my life (military etc.).

After I started TRT I went to 51.5 after 3-4 months and then 52.8 after about 6-7. That’s when he started saying we need to do it. The very next test I was at 49%. Just like that, with more hydration and focusing on diet a bit better it went down with no other change. I am also only taking a very small dose at 90mg per week. I break down the shots into 3 per week so I get very low levels of test in my opinion compared to others here. I just had my blood work Monday and just waiting on the results. Just got the dumb receptionist calling me saying doctor wants me to donate blood but they can’t figure out how to get my copy of the tests to review for myself.

Don’t do it find another doctor. You don’t want your fertinin to crash if he starts making you do it every 2-3 months.

In my opinion it is rediculous .52% or lower is fine. I read 53% or 55% is when they want blood. Can’t you jsut say you went to a blood bank and gave blood?

Honestly I would just switch docs. If it doesn’t go down they might jsut cut you off and that’ll force you anyways. I would find a doc who wouldn’t cut me off…

Tell the doc He’s causing more harm then good. Cite some content from docs who specialize in trt.

You and I have the same problem A natural high HCT for what ever reason it doesn’t matter.
I live in Vail Co 8000ft and my natty HCT is 49.3 At 100mg/wk of T cyp my HCT is stable at 50.3 at 120mg/wk my HCt is 51.7 and at 150mg/wk my HCT is 52.7 My TRT doc will not allow a 52.7
so I am stuck between 100 and 120mg/wk. No matter anything else HCT controls how much T I can take. It sucks. I did find a way around it and I suggested it above. Think about it. It might work for you to.

So my 48.9 is fine then, it sounds like. It’s one of the things I’ve asked for further feedback on when I call and attempt to talk to the Doc.

Oh, and the Doc didn’t call me back the other day. Who’d have guessed.

Yes a 48 is fine, excellent in fact. If you have had to donate blood every 2 months to get the 48 you need to add ferritin to your blood tests. Keep an eye on your Free T I do believe it going over range is the cause of HCT increasing. I have had some success donating twice a year and not crash my ferritin. HTH
