Why don’t we just all agree that fat people should be locked away and put in hamster cages to generate power for the more aesthetically gifted of us?

Agreed.
I’m constantly barefoot in summer. I even do deadlifts barefoot.
As a child, I walked EVERYWHERE at our summer home, and thus the soles of my feet were like shoe leather. By summer’s end, I could almost walk on broken glass.
The you might step on something argument is akin to the you could get hit by a bus scenario. Crossing the street you could get hit by a bus, but then again you might not.
We need to become less dependent, not independent mind you, of things we use as a crutch to make life easier. I do not think we should abandon shoes. $200 high top basketball sneakers that lead people to having poor ankle and knee mobility, yes. Shoes and clothes all together - no.

I’m really thinking about getting a pair of these for casual work shoes.

Thanks for the reminder. I often forget this, especially the part about doing chasing.
Walking barefoot is bad for you because if everyone did it, podiatry would be out of business.
No study has ever demonstrated any dangers of going barefoot nor any advantage of wearing supportive footwear. Dr. Vlahovic’s statements are sheer bullshit.
Podiatrists are basically orthotics salesmen. Their job is to make junk for your feet so there is an obvious disincentive for them to appreciate the function of the unsupported foot.
We all know shoes were invented by modern medicine and giant shoe corporations.
I love being barefoot; however, being in public requires a minimum of at least a good pair of flip-flops.
Do any of you remove your shoes as soon as you walk in the house? This was a strange custom I had to learn living in the land of “ice and snow”.

Don’t even get me started on Big-Shoe.
I love my jordans.

Let’s carry it one step farther…who says clothes of any kind are better than bare assed naked ?
Fucking clothes company fascists.
Goddam my pits itch.
Um - clothes are good. Especially since most women are disgusting fat bodies. I don’t mind looking at a curtain but I couldn’t stomach their fat rolls.
Getting rid of clothes would be a great incentive not to get fat.

The Greeks used to make fat people walk around naked and have people make fun of them.
