i got a tire working as a sled and used small wood beams placed side by side taped together to make a cheap base, only nailing parts of the bottom of the tire to make hooks to keep the wood from sliding around (not nailed into the wood). its not workin too well as the wood is rather thin and the base is designed poorly.
i’ve looked for a solution but could not find any simple one. problem with getting a wooden plate in there is that it just wont fit in the tire, and anything smaller just falls through the tire.
also for the harness, i had an eyebolt and had a rope strung through it and tied the ends of the rope together and just have that around my waist. but on large loads the rope places a huge strain so i need another idea.
i saw stuff like this but have no idea where to get one or make the handles.
i figure i could just attach the rope around the metal part of the belt via caribeaner, but i heard the valeo belt is pretty crap quality and may just rip apart.
