Nice, beating me by 10pounds  never really thought there was any serious lifting around wisconsin. I traveled quiet a lot and didnt seem like a big thing there. Only lifting we did was the mentally challenged curquit drills in football, wrestling and track… Was good to get home to some serious lifting again, i guess i just went to the wrong part

I’m gonna add i had a bad wrestling accident so cant deadlift too heavy for a while so havent been any progresion for quiet a while now…

Guess kids around my community just went to the gym and benched for an hour  Going to the movies now, batman here i come!

getting back to the original topic… i basically got nothin. and it pisses me off. i’m 16 so i live with my parents albeit in a very low crime area. we basically have a scared dog and our bare hands. me and my dad are big guys though. i’m 220 and he’s 230 plus he grew up in the jersey city ghetto so he can fight. but we live in a big house out in the boondocks so i think we need at least a little something even if it’s just a 9mm or a .38

another thing. my dad was telling me his cop friend had been issued a glock .40 and wants to carry a 9mm barretta instead. the dude is a cop in washington d.c. and not the upper class part the freaking ghetto. if i was him i wouldn’t carry the glock either. i’d have a fucking colt .45 M1911!

Don’t most americans have a baseball bat? You know your house better than anyone else. Hide behind a corner or in a closet the burglar wouldnt expect and blow his knee out. It’s not necesarily going to turn into a shoot out where you jump behing the couch and fire like an action hero.

But reading this thread and seeing peoples point of view my original point has actually changed. I didnt really think of the fact that a lot of you live in a lot more dangerous areas than me and actually might need a gun.

A few simple things will deter a robber… High Quality locks…including windows… that should be locked when ur not home. A Dog has to be Aggressive toward strangers… it has to be a Guard dog not a pet. They usually dont rob a house when they know someone is home… but a gun can be useful… I read an article about a girl whos X as beating down her door with an Ax…then suddenly it stopped…

The next door neighbor came out with a shotgun haha… it was a women to! Her husband had taught her to shoot and it definitely saved the girls life. I also was watching a tv show about guns and they had a guy talking about how his family was stocked by a man for several years… one day he tried to break in and the man shot him… the stalker had killed 3 people that same day.

I have an axe under my bed and I sometimes carry it with me to the gym at night.
Rotterdam is not always a very friendly city. A big guy that suddenly pulls out an axe would seem very deterrent to me if I was a pencilneck Marockan

There area whole lot of reasons why a baseball bat is a bad idea compared to a firearm. It’s a close range contact weapon.

How many burglars will carry a gun? If their smart atleast they know if they get caught with a gun stealing from a house their sentence will get quiet longer than without one. Like i said, you HIDE, i have plenty of places he wouldnt see me coming from. I guess a gun can be in use for backup atleast. I’m not going to continue arguing this since im not really from a violent part of Oslo so i dont have to worry too much. I can see now why some of you need too.

You can have all the weapons you want, but they don’t do any good unless you’re home when the break-in occurs… which statistics show is not the norm.

A really good guard dog won’t bark. He waits until the intruder is indoors.

Why don’t all you Compton residents just get together for a neighborhood watch meeting?

If a robber breaks in while i’m not home, fine, i lost some stuff. But if he breaks in while i’m home, i’m going to assume either he’s stupid, or he’s armed and doesn’t care if someone tries to stop him. I won’t risk my personal safety or that of my family on the chance that it might be the first one.

Edit: in addition, my mom is a landlord and has had to evict some people who’ve brought in “boyfriends” that aren’t on the lease, and suprise! they just got out of prison for breaking and entering.

If they have prior jailtime, why would they be scared to break into the house of a white woman who just evicted them?

Um…Because the armed Gang-bangers wont let that happen?..

I met 2 tourists here recently wearing the colors of the Hells Angels, Rotterdam chapter…They did not look the type to be intimidated by pencilnecked Moroccans, unarmed or not…

I can work at a grocery store and still make more than most americans. 30% doesnt mean shit when you look at the big picture. I’m tired, going to bed.

are you serious. Do you not understand how big 30% is? There is NO WAY IN HELL your countrymen make on average 30% more then the average american. The minimum wage point is moot. People working for minimum wage are teenagers or people with a poorly thought out life plan.

get fucking real.[/quote]

I wish more people understood minimum wage.

Somebody already posted the stats. You make less money and you pay more in taxes. Your cost of living is much higher. Your free social services are not free, you pay for them dearly. You live in smaller houses, you drive smaller cars, you own less material goods, your refrigerator is a fraction of the size of mine…

Nobody gives a shit about minumum wage here except for politicians.

Yeah, they consistently vote for their own pay hikes, while historically veto raising the minimum wage to parallel cost of living/inflation.

People shouldn’t try to live on minimum wage jobs. Even when I was 18 I earned more than minimum wage.

I’ve worked 2 jobs, and both of them were quite a bit over minimum wage… and I’m 16.

Seriously… you never stop do you? Stats were first of all ancient… And yes, you have richer people than us, but our average man can affort a hell of a lot more than yours  Including myself even though i dont really go under the average person.

First of all, i dont like trucks… I like sports cars, they are faster… Wanna race? My house is far from small, same with most norwegians… I’ve never seen a trailer park in norway, have you in america? I saw a shitload. Wanna bet? I’m 19 i drive a BMW M3, i have a laptop and stationary, ps3 and xbox 360, live in a house probably quiet bigger than yours. I have just about anything money can buy, and so does most norwegians… We basically have it too good…

Now, please stop. I can smell the soap from your brainwashed head…
