It’s in the government’s best interest to have a force (Blackwater) who can do things for them, and since Blackwater is “not held under may government regulations” these things can include illegal activities that traditional police and military organizations can’t do. Blackwater is to the United States as the SS was to Nazi Germany.
Maybe they should pay Canada a visit and straighten shit out.

We sort of need you guys to buy our resources though, at least for now (and many years).

The reason why they hire the high-speed-low-drag types is so that everyone has a base of skill to work with.
They are currently notorious for approaching SOCOM operators while in the field asking them basically, what do you make right now and when are you out. A pretty convincing pitch when you consider the guy asking is likely to be right next to you at some point making 3x more for it.
You could commit upwards of a decade of your life in military special ops or LE SWAT teams or you could pay them a large chunk of money and they can run you through their academy so you can work for them under contract for a certain number of years.
The 10 yr. thing is not as necessary now because for the first time in quite a while there’s a very large group of operators with REAL experience than spans hundreds if not thousands of contacts and/or ops. In short, these guys are blowing by the expected baselines just by doing the job in practice over a few years.

The gear they issue is top-notch and in most cases better than what the Army is getting. Recently SOCOM nixed the SF guys using weapons like the SCAR, P90 and so on because the guise of “testing” wasn’t holding up. They now have to lug the M4 like everyone else. This puts cheap weapons out there for Blackwater/XE or any other LE agency to buy(hooray!) at government wholesale prices. Blackwater/XE is also renown for developing their own products for use by their guys that are excellent.

Actually, Congress can remove sitting Federal judges(not including Supreme Court).
Leave Blackwater alone. Its a sinking ship and has been since they started hiring non-SOF types to fill their contracts. If this is something you want to look into check out some of the smaller companies such as Triple Canopy.

That picture was taken in Afghanistan in 2005. We had an exception to policy at the time. It was the first (and probably last) time I have had a beard.
