The 2nd reason is because hes a little bitch, hes the guy who trips you and when you come back to him he has his tough guys protect him. Hes a little punk who thinks hes above evryone else, ovecnhkin is the man for many reason if anything he will be next gretzky not crosby.
This is how I always felt about Gretzky. He’s a great talent, but I would like to have seen him play during Howes period.
That’s what I love about Yzerman, even though he was a franchise player he was never above going into the corners or doing what it takes to win.
The only reason the media is fawning over Crosby and not Ovecnkin are his north American roots. The hockey world hates that the wings have been able to thrive using European players.
I totally agree with him playing in howes time, im not sure what would of happen but I love the goride howe type guys. Very skillful but take no shit on the rink. Some one please agree that bobby orr is the greatest player to ever live. If was playing now he would of shit all over crosby.

Let’s hear it for another season of dissapointing ratings, high scoring matches, even more rule changes and yet another Stanley Cup for the worst city in the world: Detroit.

There’s some wisdom from that hockey bastion that is Oklahoma.
Have you ever been to Detroit? Or did you get your ass kicked there and that’s why your bitter?

High scoring matches…is that a negative thing? confused
Rules changes…what about the NFL!? No celebrating in the end zone…that was a nice rule change. That’s why it’s called “The No Fun League”…although, I like to call it the most overrated product on the planet. I can’t think of anything more overrated and boring than the Super Bowl.

A lot of (former) Leafs fans grew tired of the team and cheered for other teams like Detroit, Pittsburgh…a lot jumped on the Sabres bandwagon, but now they’re not so good. I think there’s a lot of disgruntled Leafs fans that can’t afford to see a game live that would jump ship and join another Toronto team.
Leafs fans rooting for the sabers?! Crazy shift in fanship. What a shitty year to make the change too lol, wait for the management to completely fuck up.
Home games against Toronto are always the most fun, the crowd is in civil war between the Leaf and Sabres fans.

Yeah I’ve been to Detroit. I’ve also been to places like Fallujah, Iraq and Sadr City, Baghdad, Iraq and can say I’d prefer Iraq over Detroit. What a shithole! You can have your Stanley Cups. Seriously.

Not insulting your state, merely pointing out how you likely have no clue about hockey, can’t skate in cow shit after all.
Who cares if you like Detroit, I’m sure Detroiters don’t, but if I have to point out how idiotic your statements are there’s probably little reason in explaining it to you.
I followed hockey back in the mid 90s through early 2000s. I lost interest for four or five years though. College, limited broadcasts of games, strikes, and the poor performance of my preferred team (Penguins) all contributed.
When I heard the Penguins were going to be in the Stanley Cup last year I had to watch. It was pretty exciting so I think I’ll keep up with things this coming season.
I wish I could get some street hockey going around here but being in a small southern town with a very limited young adult population, not much chance.
