Responses like that are highly individual, but I can pretty safely say that they donāt affect Me, personally.
It really is hard to say how they may affect others.

Iām not on a beta blocker so canāt comment about that, but Iāve noticed zero muscle soreness that I can attribute to the statin and I train more now than I did before I started it ā about 3.5 hours of weights per week and 4-5 hours of cycling. I started taking ubiquinol (active form of CoQ10) almost immediately when I started the statin, so that might have made a difference. I also tried Niacin and while I didnāt mind the flushing, Iām convinced that it gave me heart palpitations so I dropped that.
Metformin is taken by those with prediabetes or DM without severe kidney or liver disease. Some studies suggest diabetics who take metformin live longer than non-diabetics who do not take metformin. In addition to lowering insulin release and blood glucose, metformin may lower LDL by 12%, inhibit mTor and raise AMPK. It may reduce abdominal obesity. However, for lifters, it is worth noting it may lower ATP synthesis.
Niacin causes flushing, itching and annoying symptoms in most people, especially the first week or so. The non-flush version may be less effective. This can be reduced by taking naproxen half an hour before niacin. I like to think of the heat as burning the arterial plaques away, and providing niacin to your skin - which is very good for your skin. But it does take getting used to. I could see it causing palpitations if already susceptible.
