I think this and Ghosts of the Östfront were the series that stuck with me most. If i was going for a single episode, i think Prophets of Doom has my favourite story, but arguably the least good storytelling.
Wrath of the Khans is probably my favorite overall, as it was an aspect of history I knew very little about going into the episode. I’ve listened to the entire series twice.
Have you been following any of the recent craziness that started when the Liver King got arrested for his threats toward Rogan?
Maybe that’s already being discussed on a different thread.
Not really, but I saw a short clip of His Majesty crawling around like he’s on drugs and challenging Joe Rogan to a fight.
It wouldn’t be much of a fight, but I would pay $10 to watch it.
Internet shenanigans like that are part of what makes the whole podcasting world interesting to me. No rules means a lot of people get to say wild stuff that you never saw on TV in the 80s or 90s.
Definitely.
I think most would like Twilight of Aesir as well. A good intro to a non romanticized account of viking history.
I think it’s hilarious how this thread instantly became a bunch of dudes agreeing that Hardcore History is great.
I love it though! If the people I like are all recommending the same podcasts, then it’s a good sign I’ve been missing out.
