I find it interesting that the people/races that tend to be more conservitive are reproducing. The liberals arent.

What? You might want to think about this again.

Are you talking worldwide? Africans, Middle-easterners, and South Americans… Do these regions equate with “conservative” in your mind?

Are you talking about in the US? Hispanics and Blacks… do these races equate with “conservative” in your mind?

Birth rates are generally a function of economic development. As GDP or GDP/person increases, birthrates drop. If you’re talking about immigration (developing → developed, there is generally a generation (sometimes two) until you’ll start to see the rates drop. What makes you think that birth rates have to do with “race”? or that “race” is connected with “conservative”?

Yes I’m taling worldwide.
I would say that the Middle East, South America, and Africa are more conservitive the their western counterparts. If you ever get a chance to go to the Middle East count the mosques, look at their tv and other media. I doubt you’ll see any shows like “Desparate Houswives”. Do I need to go on??[/quote]

So by “conservative” you don’t mean political economic systems then. Cool, cleared that up. It’s kind of interesting that you consider Islamic fundamentalism to be “conservative.”

Again though, I think you’re mostly still neglecting “development” in your assessments (both of birth rates and what you call “conservative”). while I’ve never watched “desperate housewives,” if you check out “Africa Magic” (out of Nigeria I believe) it seems to have similar programming. I’d also wonder how closely correlated “freedom of speech” is with what you’re describing as “conservative.” Perhaps tyranny is “conservative” then?

Just some thoughts though.

No I mean social values. Even though we come from 2 completely different culture’s I almost guarnatee the me and the average Muslim have the same ideals when it comes to family and how we would like to see our society. I think it would be great to see more church’s,less sex out of wedlock, less sex on tv, less cursing, less drugs, in other words I don’t want my kids to get STD’s, or have any kids out of wedlock.

I can see what your sayin about developted nations. The thing is most Arab nations are devoloping rapidly and have been for the last decade. As a matter of fact 3 of the top ten wealthest nations are Arab and one is in Africa.

I doubt that their are too many people from Africa who are going to gloryify women run around town with mattress’ strapped to their backs.

I really don’t think most Arab, African, or South American countries qualify as being tyranical.

I see this as a good reason to support gay marriage, since it benefits children with same sex parents. A lot of people don’t realize that same sex families do exist, but in most states these families can’t even choose to have the stability and security provided by marriage.

Yeah, I can understand your arguement because I’d rather be adopted by two gay people than stay in a state run home.
Marriage would fix alot the social problems that we have in this country because it would build stronger families. Thats were it all starts.
