HCG Monotherapy - 26 Male

Just an update, I feel great after the past 2 months at 3000iu/week of HCG. I’ve been having consistent morning wood for the last couple weeks where as before I would have it maybe once every few months. Bloodwork is being done today, so I will post back with my labs when I get the results. [/quote]

Great to hear.

I just my first dose yesterday. I will also be on 3000iu/week with arimidex. I go back in for blood work on the 10th of June for a follow up.

Added my blood values to the OP. I pasted them below as well. A few days ago I said I feel great and I still do. However, my values are not what I expected with how good I am feeling. T was good, total T was good. But E was HIGH. It makes sense that upping my HCG would up my E if I don’t also increase my AI dose. Even then, if I upped my AI, I’m not sure what would happen with all of the claims that AIs dont have as significant of an effect on intratesticular Estrogen production. I am leaning toward going back down one step to 2500 iu/ week and monitoring how I feel there with another round of bloods in 2 months.

Total Testosterone - 928.1 - 348.0-1197.0 ng/dL
Free Testosterone - 24.2 - 9.3-26.5 pg/mL
Estradiol - 47.3 - 7.6-42.6 pg/mL
Sensitive Estradiol - 43.2 - 8.0-35.0 pg/mL
SHBG - 31.4 - 16.5-55.9 nmol/L

I ordered both estradiol and sensitive estradiol because I was interested in the difference. People have made claims online that the regular estradiol is off by 20 points sometimes. I wanted to test that. I imagine the closer you get to the bottom of the scale, the further off it can be. Obviously mine is higher right now.

Is anyone on it experiencing weight gain? Or any other side effects? I still feel good but am gaining weight. To the tune of 25lbs.

It would be best if you created your own thread and provided more info and labs etc.

In general, hCG can cause high E2 levels if the dose is to high. A few get estrogen problems from low hCG doses, but that is unusual.

Weight gain can also easily occur if thyroid function is low. TSH can be elevated, but be well withing normal ranges. Low iodine from not using iodized salt is a common cause. See the thyroid basics sticky and look for how to check oral body temperatures to check overall thyroid function.

Please see these stickies:

  • advice for new guys — note the first paragraph
  • things that damage your hormones
  • finding a TRT doc

hCG mono may not be the best option for you. As long as you are injecting, injecting T is not a big step.

Thanks. I will start my own thread and check out the stickies.
