Update: Two months in and I feel fine.

Brickhead, we may be going to a similar doctor (if not the same doctor, haha…he’s also not a big AI fan, by the way) I started HCG monotherapy at 1500 IU 3x/ week. After a month and change my test levels went up around 30% with little estradiol increase (perhaps bc I am thin…?) and some mild improvements in symptoms of fatigue, etc. He upped my scrip to 2500 iu 3x/week with the hope that I can improve further/more quickly.
Worse comes to worse, I can always go to a testosterone clinic in town and get the standard trifecta of test, HCG, and AI (and monitor my sperm along the way)

Are you on LI?
My doc has one of my friends on T and low dose HCG. He does prescribe AI’s but only when needed, not right off the bat.
Some people do not aromatize easily or don’t feel the effects of increased estrogen. When my T was in the 800’s and E2 in the 40’s I felt fine. I don’t buy into all this estradiol scare with HCG at high doses generally. Yes it happens to some, but not all. And it usually happens when T goes to supraphysiological levels.
When on T, I also inject only once per week. I don’t feel any swings mid week.

I’d stay away from these clinics if you are in the hands of a good doctor.
I just got mine and start Wednesday. I appreciate the thread as its difficult to find any kind of real deal information on HCG that isn’t about the “HCG Diet”

Personally, when my E shot up recently, I was having hot flashes and intermittent dizziness. Some headaches too. Nothing too drastic but subtle symptoms that I had never had before.
I went to the doc a few weeks ago and my T did not raise further and my estradiol went to the 30’s. I had a suspicion that although it was working, it was not working to get my levels up to my usual 700s to 800s and although I did not feel terrible, it felt as if something was amiss, just like thing were not optimal. in the first two months I felt fine, as I reported here.
He mentioned in my visit that we could go up to a frequency of every other day instead of three times per week with 3000 IU at each shot. I declined this idea because I am not in the mood to go for another trial dose to get things going because I am having and will have a very busy summer (bachelor party, wedding, July 4th, BBQ’s, beach, honeymoon, and so on) and I want to feel great.
So I have gone back to my usual 100 mg T cyp per week and because I love what HCG does for libido and uh, functioning (lol), he had no problem giving me HCG for 500 IU twice per week. This combo feels GREAT and I am sure my T is up there at a high normal level. The sex drive on this combo is mad!
My doc said that others have had great results with what I took but because I have been on TRT for very long, about thirteen years, it might have taken very large doses for HCG to work… or that it might not work optimally at all. Eh, not everything works out as expected and I said in a previous post that if this did not work out, I’d report it.
I will be taking a fertility test soon. Hopefully all is well so my fiance and I can start trying pronto.
Hey bro. I’ve been following the same protocol as per mellinger. My levels before I started were 234 and then 4 weeks into this treatment they are 238. It hasn’t helped me at all either.
Hey, what’s up? You go to him also? If HCG alone ain’t doing it for you, then perhaps you should use it in low doses with T as I am doing now. I will see him tomorrow.
Sounds like a good time bro. Yeah I started gong to him in June for low test due to years of Anabolics. Have tried clomid alone with no results and have been doing hcg 3000iu mon/we’d/Fri with no results. Test still in 230s. He bumped me to 3000iu eod. He hasn’t brought up test to me yet.
I just got married so maybe he thinks I want to have kids and test may mess with my fertility. I had sperm analysis done when I first saw him and to my surprise it came back in range. And my test was still 230. Have you checked your semen while running test and hcg?

I took a fertility test about three weeks ago before my cruise. I picked up a message from doc yesterday when I got back home and the results of the test were poor. I am seeing him today to discuss this and see what could be done. I feel GREAT on T and HCG together though; I never felt better.
I believe you have to communicate with him and don’t withhold concerns or inquires. From my experience with him for over a decade, I take him as being very understanding and flexible.
