Happy Birthday Renee!

Spankins, pics of Jack Daniels, a birthday twin, and
Jabba’s tongue! Wow!

Grins & happy thoughts to all of you guys!

One of you liked it (thanks, hun!), so here are my thoughts from the other day. I was having a hard time, and wanted to write something peaceful. Consider it a prezzie from me to each of you.

The dawn rises like thunder
its brilliance illuminates
the light of my soul.

Whispers of light
caress the trees, reeds, and water.

A lone heron lifts into the dawn,
his windtips brushing the surface of the water.
Ripples spread quickly, smoothing out as they expand.

Awkward at first, he lifts
higher
surveying the shoreline.

A slight shift of his weight,
and he banks, gracefully cutting across the lake.

Shadows dissipate as the sun
reaches across the cool water.
Mist blankets the surface,
embracing the water’s stillness.

Silence on the lake is broken
by the call of a Canadian Goose.
Swifts cry softly from far overhead,
dancing in the quiet breezes.

Rustling reeds shift my attention.
The reeds part, and I see the goose.
She pushes her head, advancing to the open water.
Four goslings bob tiny heads, working hard to follow.
A large male patiently eases into
a protective flanking position.
He calls loudly as the mist dissipates in their wake.

Golden light fills the sky.
The air becomes warmer, more dense and soft.
It’s going to be a beautiful day.

If I tell you I got new fun workout clothes, some of you will want me to try them on, take them off, then take pics. (Right?! Have I just about got this figured out? LOL)

It was my birthday yesterday too! How weird…

Nobody cares. Sorry.[/quote]

I know, I know. I was just trying to get a happy birthday from somewhere… You know what though, I went to the bank and the teller said that I was her third birthday that day. July 16th must be a pretty common birthday.

Oh, and Will Farrell’s birthday is on the 16th too!
