Happy Birthday OG!

pork rinds are good but I can feel years of my life falling away as I eat them

Yeah but those are the tail end years when you’re laying in the nursing home ringing the buzzer for hours, waiting for the nurse to change your diaper. You don’t want those years anyway.

I tried the peanuts and coke thing…didn’t excite me to a great degree, but it was nice and different!

I’m surprised the peanuts float in the coke, as I thought they would sink to the bottom.[/quote]

A for effort, Mate! I’m glad that a Southern delicacy was sampled in the extreme South!

Yeah, you can pawn those years off on one of those folks frozen in the cryogenic chamber or whatever the heck they are. Eat the damn pork rinds!

hehe thanks! I’d sure love to try those northern Southern delicacies for real one day. Fried rattlesnake, alligator, chitlins, cheese grits, all sounds good. Probably better than kangaroo steak anyway!

My gf looked at my drink with the peanuts in it and asked me, “WTF is that!?”

Actually I’m getting a craving for some more right now…might have to go get me some Coke

It’s the wrong time of year for us Southerners JohnnyBlaze, but you need to add fried green tomatoes to your list. In eastern NC we it’s peanuts in our Pepsi.

Both of my dogs want to blow out your candles, Happy B-day
kid.

You also can’t go wrong some pulled pork BBQ, especially if it is from the pit.

Suffolk Va. is known for its peanuts as well, they have a Planters Plant there and keeps the city in business.

Peanuts and Coke are awesome. Don’t know why, don’t care.

Cheese grits and bar-b-q shrimp - one of the best meals you will ever eat.

And cheese gits are better with some garlic in them, IMO.

And before I forget, Happy Birthday OG!

So true! Can’t remember which comedian said it … “Every cigarette takes five minutes off your life, who fucking cares? they are the last few where you are gasping for breath and not enjoying yourself”

Having some peanuts and Coke now…

Is this fattening? I hope so…I’m dirty bulking right now for my cycle.

I think I put too many peanuts in the bottle because I’m only halfway through it and getting full already. I put in two handfuls this time!

I wonder what would happen if I put this in the fridge and finished it later? I assume the peanuts would get soggy so it’d be best to just drink it all fresh…

OG,
Sorry I missed this. Happy belated birthday.

Thanks DB!!

it just means I get a whole birthday WEEK instead of just a day.

And here is a pic of my adorable niece from her softball game last night. I took the pic because peanuts are EVERYWHERE! and mosquitos. Seriously, they are like the black wave of airborne death. I thought we were suffering some tactical flybys when I heard the buzzing. This is in Indian Trails, North Carolina. But I’ve been walking to a lake, seeing just some very gorgeous country. I was jogging past a field with horses the other morning and it was very cool to have this horse start trotting alongside the fence with me. That was just about the coolest thing. My brother’s friend took me to this little coffee place with these ladies Miss Ketta, Miss Joyeau, and Miss Beaulah (about 90yrs old!). Great coffee and pumpkin bread. Smelled so good in there and the folks were great. I went to a steakhouse with peanut shells on the floor! Peanuts… everywhere. Sooooo chilly in the morning and then BAM hot in the afternoon. But I really enjoyed my trip. I go home this afternoon. I am just waiting for my sister-in-law to get home and take me to the airport.
