I became very close friends with the only American I ever met. It seems common now for non-U.S. persons to dislike Americans. Insults I hear commonly range from things such as obesity and ignorance, to waging pointless wars and interfering.

Just heard today we’ve lost 9 soldiers in 9 days in Afghanistan…(Brits)
Feel bad for the families. Things were supposed to be settling down but people’s sons are still getting killed.
Its rarely in combat(they won’t/can’t fight us in the open) it’s usually roadside bombs, suicide bombs or helicopter crashes.
Sad.
Pride in ones country is overrated. Especially America.
On the contrary, militant opposition to ones government and aggressive measures to seceded as some sort of counter culture is also a frivolous endeavor.
