I use Handstand push up as primary exercise to improve delts size and strenght for personal preference (I also do seated shoulder press as assistance).
I am able to do few sets of HPU against the wall. I wonder if, for bodybuilding purpose, is better to progress with a longer ROM of Wall HPU (to limit the core strengh and balance need) or learn how to do these ones without the wall assistance?

For muscle building purposes: increased ROM, definitely. However, you could work on both simultaneously.
when you train handstand push-up twice a week, Which kind of scheme about set and reps do you use ?
