Guys Who Use Smiley Faces?

‘BFF’ has to be the most dubious acronym for two hetero guys to use in a conversation. It’s just…wrong, somehow…

There’s nothing wrong with using “hehe” as long as you’d pronounce it “heh heh.” If you’re going for a “hee hee” kind of sound, that’s pretty super gay.

Question: If two straight guys go to a movie, do they HAVE to have one empty seat between them?

I carry pieces of paper with different emoticons on them with me. That way if I am actually talking with someone under the age of 30 I can show the emotions I am trying to convey to them through body language and varying tones of my voice and they get it.

haha

Fuck no. It’s ridiculous when guys do that. Are they so damn insecure that they’re worried people will think they’re gay or something? So dumb. Also, people always leaving one seat makes getting two adjacent seats in a semi-packed theater a pain in the ass.

The only acceptable use is if a guy is talking about something involving a chick and her ‘bff,’ but even then, he must say it with an air of contempt…else he’s got teh ghey.

Wow, I guess everyone here thinks their big tough macho guys. I use smiley faces A LOT =]

True. It doesn’t usually end well for people that like to squeal “hee hee”. As for the super gay part, well that’s for the courts to decide. It sure ain’t pretty.

Fuck, I lol’d pretty hard at that.

I thought at the time that it was a naive attempt at reconciliation, rather than being contemptuous. But then again, there was no smiley. Maybe he was just a tease…

What about “hoho”? Santa uses it, so it must indicate friendliness, while allowing you to remain on platonic terms with the recipient, without them thinking that you want to be invited up for coffee…

I didn’t mind the giggles - I can’t eat Snickers because I’m allergic to peanuts. When somebody ‘snickers’ at me it’s like a taunt within a taunt. Oh cruel God!!! Why do you deprive me of such peanutty goodness!!

Me too. Unfortunately, some selfish individuals insist on dangling their high falutin’ LOLs under my nose, only to snatch them away at the very last second. glares at Imhungry
