Very nice. I tend to go with dual source ones powered by natural light and radium. A SGT drilled into me fear of battery loss and EMP screwing up electronics.
Nice man. Check out Palmetto state armory for the goodies and add on stuff. They have great deals and pretty fast shipping. I’ve been eye-balling a 300 blackout upper for mine.
Nice, thanks for the recommendation.
Halfway through the AR on a poor man’s budget plan.
ATI Optima Receiver from Bud’s with bonus magazine.
Lower parts kit from PSA.
Does anyone own a CZ P-09 Duty Pistol? If so, would you share your experience? Thanks.
I have cleared one of my dream guns off the list. I found a rebuilt M14 SA. This is a new platform for me. I am still chasing down what all the components are, but it’s an M14 Stock, match barrel, built by LRB on one of their forged receivers. Going to the range this weekend. If anyone is familiar with markings please let me know. There are stampings on the stock I’d be interested in understanding if anyone knows about them.
Since this is a physical training website and we are talking guns, I thought I would share this, the best of both. If you are not familiar with Pat, look him up on Youtube, the real deal.
Guy looks like he’s having way too much fun.
Nice! I recently sold/traded my James River Armory away. It was a beautiful rifle and a solid platform, but I don’t have the money or resources to shoot it as often as I would have liked. The fellow I sold it to was a great guy, Marine and Vietnam Vet, he wanted to shoot the rifle he trained with and carried. Glad I got the privilege to meet him.
My M-14 loved the Federal Gold Medal Match Sierra BTHP 168 grains.
I got this S&W model 28-2 as part of the trade mentioned above. Great revolver, I plan on carrying it hunting this fall. It’s heavy, but that N frame soaks up the recoil of the .357 nicely.
A lot of Glock porn, with a few M&P’s and Sig’s mixed in.
I don’t own one but when I was looking for the CC of my dreams I went out of my way to find a CZ dealer, because I really wanted to get my hands on a 75B and a P-01. I didn’t get to shoot either but was not impressed with either the much vaunted ergonomics or the workmanship. What killed the 75B was the tiny sights, I seem to recall that the 01’s were a little better. I did not handle an 09.
I eventually bought an HK P30, and have been very happy with it.
Just my $.02, but I would definitely recommend laying hands on one, and not ordering off gunbroker.
Nice. Sorry you had to let her go, but it sounds like she found a good home. Was it scoped, or did you stay with irons?
I was lucky enough to catch some sales and get some 7.62x51 put away at .46 cents a round, all new brass. I have a couple pounds of varget put away to start finding exactly what she likes. Been watching for slugs. I wish manufacturers would sell sample packs. One type of bullet but 5 different weights, 10 rounds each. It would make finding the right recipe easier.
Not bad at all. Good shooting. I’ve got a 686 pre dash in 357. They are just flat out shooters. The weight just sits in the hand and recoil becomes very manageable.
Nice! If I sold or traded the 28-2 away it would be to get a 686, though I haven’t had the chance to shoot one. The only revolver I like better than the S&Ws are the Colts. I haven’t had the chance to shoot any of those either but they feel great in the hand and their bluing is fantastic. I don’t aspire to own a Colt however because they haven’t made them in 20 years and if there was a problem finding someone to work on it would be a hassle.
Glock 19 frame recently finished up
I picked up a 686 at a gun show in August. Man, I couldn’t love that gun anymore than I do! Shoots great, feels great in your hand. Handles .357 like a champ, the recoil is so mild. First time I went to the range I put 7 shots into a playing card from 7 yards in 7 seconds. I’m gonna go broke buying ammo for that baby!
Goldfinger, is that you?
NIce.
Nashtide - Great pickup. I can still remember the first time I took mine out. We ended up shooting full aquafina bottles at 50 yards. At the beginning of the summer I grabbed a Rossi 357/38 lever action to go with it. They’ll both eat anything.
