I always wondered who that guy was. Man, does he look uptight. I don’t know anything about the man, but judging from that picture, I’d say he appears to be in dire need of a night out at a high-end strip club with lots of booze and drugs.
Lol! He was a hedonistic bohemian who experimented with hallucinogenic drugs and slept with hundreds of wominz.

I’m relieved to hear about that. I was kinda worried about the guy for some reason.

According to one scholar, “Evola’s thought can be considered one of the most radically and consistently antiegalitarian, antiliberal, antidemocratic, and antipopular systems in the twentieth century.”
No, nothing to worry about.

Mine? Well, it would be more like an understanding of what others have said they believe, which is (generally):
I have the right to own any firearm, of any type, that I want, and even arms that aren’t held, and I have had this individual right since the Founding, and that right has always been there.
Roughly.

Come on tb, you know better than that. The founders were revolutionaries of the original “left-wing” - ie, those opposed to the traditional ecclesiastical and royal power structures of the old regime. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with their ideology and the modern “conservative” movement in America. But all the ideals you list above stem from classical liberalism. Again, I’m not deriding classical liberalism. I’m just giving an accurate picture of what “right-wing” and “left-wing” actually mean. It only leads to confusion to change the definitions of such terms and try to claim heritage and continuity with the old right.

I am a little confused. I thought Push was asking for my definition of an “absolute right” to keep and bear arms, not anything related to “Right” (and Left) on the political spectrum.

Maybe he was. Now I’m confused.
Edit: Yes, I think maybe he was. Sorry about that. I was responding to varq’s picture of Glenn Beck as a definition of “absolute right”.

I blame the witty Varq and his Glenn Beck pun.
But, to to your point, that is interesting stuff. May be worth its own thread?
Yes, maybe. I’ve always thought “conservatives” should not let the left hijack the term “liberal” but in the US, the right have spent the last twenty years turning “liberal” into a derogatory term. It kind of confuses everything and it gives the hard left the opportunity to portray themselves as moderate and well, “liberal” when they’re anything but. Anyway, I’ll leave this here as this is a gun control thread.

Which is evidently how the Evola virus was spread.

I think the author was suggesting that those are bad characteristics. Not sure why. Each to his own I guess.

Bill Clay was really Hans Gruber acting. Don’t be a dupe.

OK, TB now, if you don’t mind, give us a quick synopsis of the other rights in the BoR and describe how the “absolute” modifier would apply.
Start with freedom of speech.
(Not going to make you do 'em all)
Not sure I know what you are asking here. Describe what an absolute right to free speech is? Or should be?
