Give him a break fellas, he is trying to avoid a Federal indictment.
State Sen. Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) allegedly maneuvered a deal between two senate colleagues that resulted in a $25,000 payoff for a blood relative of one of them, and amended workers comp legislation that eventually helped the owner of a Long Beach hospital indulge in what the FBI is calling ?large-scale health care fraud.?
Thank goodness. In Kansas I consistently think “boy we have some of the dumbest legislators ever.” Then I get to see a video like that and remember…plenty of other states have morons trying to run the show as well!
How did that gun not kill everyone at the press conference though? I’m confused?

Obviously in the hands of such a skilled operator the gun was calmed and controlled. No mere mortal can possible hope to tame such a killing machine.

With that kind of gun we are very lucky we didn’t die from watching the youtube video. No doubt about it we should both be dead right now.

By the skin of our teeth, we escaped the wrath.

It’s because he is from the guv’ment, gentlemen. The gun knew that only members of guv’ment can be trusted to own firearms and tame their savageness. Guns aren’t to be trusted in the hands of the unwashed masses. Nor are the unwashed masses themselves to be trusted.

Harry Whittington wholeheartedly agrees.

I’d rather talk about why the masses are unwashed than sorry about that gun
Don’t get me wrong I support some types of gun things, but the vast majority of the ones being proposed are counter productive at best and liberty sapping at worst.

IMO, of course, the best gun regulation as how it was intended and the denotation at the time of the writing of the Bill of Rights.
As in well regulated = well trained in use of. IE: rather than national registries, which people are deluding yourself if you don’t think they already have, mag limits and making sure the weapon doesn’t look scary… How about we teach people how to handle a firearm, respect a firearm and how not ot be douchebags…

That and teach some actual ethics and fucking morals. It is not a gun problem. It is a societal problem.

Without question.
But that brings up a whole host of problems that aren’t PC to talk about or consider. And not to derail the thread, but I don’t want government legislating those (for the most part. I mean murder being illegal, etc, are fine. You know what I mean.)
I think, in all reality, we are still a very young culture too hung up on where our ancestors came from and not focused enough on where we are now, as a group of people. People ask “are you French, Irish?” I respond that I’m American. And then they ask me what tribe… facepalm.
We are in the growing pains as a society I think, and it will be our grandkids’ grandkids before it flattens out.

If we can get our political, finance, and business leaders to start setting the example, we will only be a couple of generations away from making progress.
