Ouchy I hurt.

Lately some of the idiots I work with have started talking like babies.
Am I the only one encountering this?

Are you serious?
I have not experienced this.
I don’t have a TV in the house (ie streaming TV, we have a DVD player, etc). One thing I’ve noticed is when a new catch phrase from TV comes along a lot of folks start using the same phrase or new mannerisms. It’s usually an explosion of usage.
Is the baby thing from a TV show or movie?

Man…that would be great ! Wish I knew some mutes.
Unfortunately the baby talkers include my current boss and my former boss…it’s bizarre.
This is in a professional setting, I take it?
A girlfriend of mine used to do the baby talk thing alot, and mimic how her neice would talk. It drove me nuts. She started to use it in the bedroom, and I finally told her that she’s got to stop that shit, NOW.

Its prevalent in the UK too (unfortunately).
In particular, I hate this way the ‘yoot’ here speak - from the back of the throat (sort of like you’re trying to contract your throat and speak out of your nose at the same time).
“Nah bruv. Just been kotchin’ at my yard innit.”
Really winds me up. Elocution lessons need to be taught from a young age me thinks.
You still use elocution in the UK? We switched to lethal injunction here in the States.

For real. There are people who don’t say, “y’all”?
Why avoid a word this efficient and useful?

I had a buddy from Chicago who thought “ya’ll” sounded strange. He said “you guys”. Everytime he said “you guys” we all laughed and called him a nerd. He’s not my friend anymore.

You guys sounds too much like you are a wise guy from a gangster flick.

HEY YOU GUYS!

He pulls in 300K per show.
What as that part about a moron, again?

Brittney Spears has a lot of money too…
I never thought Larry was very funny…just my opinion…but, doesn’t he have an ivy league eduation? I’m not joking. I’m pretty sure one of those redneck comedians is Harvard educated or something…

Larry the Cable Guy is a phony. A big fat phony.

Successful is not synonymous with intelligent. In his prime, MC Hammer was pulling in more than that. Boxers can be dumb as bricks, but make very good money.
However, he has found a niche that seems to enjoy his comedy. Good for him. I hate it.
Well, after that vid, I see ol’ Larry may not be a moron, (he ultimately found a schtick that works for him), but his comedy is still unfunny and retarded. If I wanted to hear that kind of crap, I’d head for the nearest playground and listen to 3rd graders talk. lol
Speaking of redneck comedians, my favorite is Ron White.

Larry was on one of the local radio morning shows like 15 or 20 years ago…he’d come on as a special guest calling in on the phone…I don’t know if he’s from Baltimore…but that’s the station he was on…maybe it was syndicated…anyway…
Every single fucking morning was the same lame thing, ‘What Country is this? Russia ?’ then he’d make some joke about dropping a deuce after Thanksgiving…I don’t know if he still does the same jokes…but…I never got it.

No one said the audience can’t be filled with morons. I mean, they actually paid to see a movie with him in it. Maybe he attracts people with previous massive head wounds.

My main point was that just because someone makes a lot of money, it doesn’t make them intelligent. I have no idea about Larry personally.
