Off topic request, can someone tell me how to italic on here? In most applications I just hold down the apple button and hit “i” (or “b” for bold) but that doesn’t work on this site.

The first rule of italic club is not to tell others about italic club.

Deep Purple “Perfect Strangers”
Can you remember remember my name
As I flow through your life
A thousand oceans I have flown
And cold spirits of ice
All my life
I am the echo of your past…
Beat you to it. Scroll up to my first “Name That Tune” post of mine. One of my favorite songs of all time. In my top five, for sure.

Shit, I didn’t see that.
I bought the cassette in '84, and I have the CD in my car.
GREAT CD.
“I got something to say
I killed your baby today
and it doesn’t matter much to me
as long as it’s dead.”
Last Caress, The Misfits
Such a sweet song. lol

Purple got it right more than they got it wrong, and when they were on, they were really on!. Saw them live several times, always good. You notice I quoted one of their lines from the notorious “In Rock” album, one of their best works…

Tons of good lines from these stalwart heavy jazz-rockers:
“Well I opened up my veins too many times
and the poison’s in my heart and in my mind:
Poison in my bloodstream:
Poison in my mind…
I asked for rebellion…
I settled for lies…
and the joke’s on you”…
Blue Oyster Cult
From the Ladies of Rock ~
I saw him dancin there by the record machine…
Knew he must have been about 17…
Pat Benetar
I know I’ve been so hard on you
I know I told you lies
If I could have just one more wish…
I’d wipe the cobwebs from my eyes.

An underated band, in my opinion.
I loved “Imaginos”, eventhough it got zero airplay.

+1 One of the best live acts around. In high school, I wore out my Agents of Fortune cassette. Loved a lot of their work. Fire of Unknown Origin, Spectres, etc. Good stuff. Loved the lyrics to Shooting Shark:
Sick of hauling your love around
Wanna run the train alone
But the engine tracks straight through your heart
And weighs me like a stone
Three times I’ve sent you back from me
Three times my bones gone dry
And three times I’ve seen the shooting shark
Lighting up the sky
Heard this one last night at the tavern. Made me realize that I want me a redneck girl:
A redneck girl got a name on the back of her belt
She’s got a kiss on her lips for her man and no one else
And I pray that someday I will find me a redneck girl
Yeah give me a give me a give me a redneck girl
Bellamy Brothers - Redneck Girl

That’s hilarious! I was going to post those lyrics before I went to bed, but I changed my mind, because I couldn’t do it without putting the whole song up there.
There’s too many songs that I can’t just cut out a section. It feels like i’m not doing it justice.
I had all of their cassettes.

ROFL. Normal html would be italicized text , bold .
On T-Nation, just remove the “< >” and replace with “”
Online html guides are easy to find on google.
…Or just look at some quoted posts to figure it out.

She could be referencing the Britney Spears debacle when she covered the song.

I think Renee has better taste than that.
At least I hope so.
Well I don’t know where they come from
But they sure do come
I hope they comin’ for me
And I don’t know how they do it
But they sure do it good
I hope they doin’ it for free
I make the pussy purr with
The stroke of my hand
They know they gettin’ it from me
They know just where to go
When they need their lovin man
They know I do it for free
