Grappler or Striker?

When it comes to MMA Training do emphasise on the Grappling aspect or the Striking? Natrually, what do you prefer? Im going to have to say the latter. Even when im training in wrestling,my boxer stance, hop, and footwork seems to appear when im squared up with my opponent. I have to say im pretty bad at shooting in and I basically ahve to force myself to get on the ground. My sprawl isent bad though.

The other day my friend and I were on my porch, trying to beat the summer heat with a cool, crisp snack. I had a Valencia orange, while he munched on a Macintosh. I made fun of him for being an idiot, as his snack could never match up to mine, as I was basking in sublime, soothing refreshment. As I explained my point of view, all of a sudden, I had this epiphany, whereupon it occured to me, “Like, whoa there. These two pieces of fruit are not quite the same thing…it’s almost as though they are judged by different qualifications, and are therefore beyond comparison. What a truly edifying moment this is.”

After realizing that my point of view couldn’t be shoved down his throat, I realized his teeth could, so I knocked them out of their fuckin’ roots. He almost choked to death on his incisors as i nearly choked on my own laughter. I betcha can’t do that with grappling.

True. But you can put him in an arm triangle and watch his brain slowly lose oxygen - sort of like watching him die right before your very eyes.

This is a much more elegant way to dispatch one’s opponent.
