It wasn’t a part of the show, but after one of the guys went home, he started BJJ. I thought it was a cool mention, though I wouldn’t want to roll with a 300lb obese man.
We’ve had a few guys lose a lot of weight after starting to train. Most notably is one that’s lost over 100lbs in the two years he’s been doing BJJ. He looks like a different man.

I’ve rolled with a couple 300 pound guys. Wouldn’t call them obese but my 160 pound self was having all sorts of trouble

Saw that. Odd they never showed him actually in a gi and rolling, just doing kickboxing drills.[/quote]
Well, he talked about getting his belt. I also assume he wouldn’t look very powerful rolling at this point, and it was a segment where he had to show how confident he now is.
Biggest Loser is all about spin, and editing things to make then look like the producers want them to.
I think that pretty cool. I was talking to my kung fu teacher (a college course :P)yesterday and she told me about a friend of her’s who started Krav Maga and is a totally different person, she lost a lot of weight and is much more confident and disciplined.
