Government Lunacy

Maybe because …

Somewhere, someone is about to tell his constituents that he cares a LOT about the disabled.
Somewhere, someone is about to collect fines from a LOT of golf businesses who failed to comply with the new regulations.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

Walmart does not use federal grant money when it builds a new store. Still has to implement ADA standards.
I’m unsure on on the federal grant money, but I know local governments give them the farm (and then some) in order to get them to build a store.

In order to gain 2 farms in taxes…

And some stores are built despite government resistance.

Really , where is the gun barrel ? Basic Straw man

Lol. I forgot you think our government is a benevolent third party incapable of using force to bend its subjects to its will.

No, I know our Gov is quite unkind , I just do not see this mythical gun barrel the so called right is always describing
Pick up a history book and educate yourself. I’m betting Generals Lee and Jackson would disagree with you.

a. You must be some sort of racist or something.
b. That wasn’t a MYTHICAL gun barrel-that was many, many real ones, along with many other weapons.

How does government punishment work?

Fines. What happens when you don’t pay your fines? Jail. How do they get you to jail? With a gun to your head.

It’s fairly simple how the government forces its laws with a gun.

How can you say that? You do realize that we’re talking about the United States of America, right? We FREELY ELECT our REPRESENTATIVES. They work for US. When you were born in this country, you signed a contract saying that you would abide by the rules made by YOUR REPRESENTATIVES. If you don’t like the decisions YOU have made, you’re free to leave. Even if this mythical gun existed, YOU made the decision to follow its directions(or be punished for not doing so) when you were born(or ended up in this great, free country).

Not always, the trend out here has been for Walmart to approach a local gov, and say we want to build a store…

But here’s the catch we don’t want to pay any property taxes or anything towards the infrastructure. So the local gov goes about an eminent domain process, takes the area, forgives any property taxes for the next 20 years, makes changes to streets, water, sewer and prays that sales taxes will make up said difference.

Unfortunately not all areas involved get a piece of that sales tax pie, and many cities are finding out that the projections coming from Walmart were over inflated leaving them with a significant shortfall.

Except the employees pay state (and sometimes local) income taxes, and the company pays state payroll taxes.

If you don’t abide by the ADA, you will get sued. If you refuse to give up your earnings, people with guns will show up and take you away. If you don’t have the right door handles, there is a good chance you can loose your livelihood, either by threat of violence or actual violence.

The only reason you don’t see more of the violence is because the vast majority comply under the initial threat. But it’s still happening all the time.

All enforced laws are backed by violence at the point of a gun. Otherwise, we wouldn’t call them laws.

Dude, our REPRESENTATIVES are PROTECTING us from violence, not initiating it. If I believed what you’re saying, I could hardly believe this is a free country. If I could hardly believe this is a free country, the last line of The Star-Spangled Banner would be laughable. If the last line of The Star-Spangled Banner was laughable…why…I don’t even know how terrible that would be.

Dude in the picture doesn’t have his gun out… yet

ooohh, and then there is this: SOX FAN SHOT DEAD – COED HIT IN HEAD BY ‘RUBBER BULLET’

I could go on…

Out of all the things pitt, this isn’t one where I’d expect you to disagree.

Lil pepper spray never hurt anybody…

The vast majority of “occupy” people I’ve spoken too tend to be the type who’s politics are very different than mine. Hearts in the correct direction, mind left unused, as all feeling is confused with thinking.

That being said, I don’t want to see them get pepper sprayed for fucking sitting there. Yeah it costs the tax payers money to babysit these entitled brats, but shit, assembly is protected, and they aren’t being violent.

I mean, if this was 1776 and they were protesting British occupation, I would sooooo support their rights, but it’s not and they’re not. I’m all for freedom, but those people are different-not necessarily different in skin color, because I’m definitely cool with that kind of difference-than me.
