Gotta Start Somewhere Right?

I am 37…and a half…years old. Point is I am not 38 yet and by then I want to look so different then compared to know, it is killing me. I have lost almost 60lbs in the last 7 months but not really done any training, beside walking and having my gf move in with me (the stress of that accounts for at least 20 of the 60 pounds I bet.). What I need to know from this community is where is the best place for me to start. Supplements, vitamins, proteins, etc…

Just to let ya know I had spinal fusion when I was a teenager so I never really played any sports. I found alternative methods to occupy my time. Those being things I will not mention here…lol Point being, my spine is totally fused from top to bottom so I am not as ummm limber as I could be. I have tried working out many times in the past, on my own and not with any trainer types, so needless to say I hurt my back badly and end up quitting. I need advice. I need it quickly. June is arising real quickly and I want to be better tomorrow than I am today.
Thank you in advance to all that respond to this post.

The place to start is talking to your doctor and find out what you can do safely and then hit the gym. Obviously squats and deadlifts are probably not for you so you will probably want to do something different. Lower body exercises like lunges and split squats are probably good for you. You can probably do most upperbody exercises. There are lots of exercises for your core but I don’t know which ones you should avoid.

You need to ensure that your eating plan is something you can sustain for the long term. Many do fine dieting but once the diet is over, they don’t have the skills to maintain it.

You will probably have lots of questions and we can help.
