Going to Urologist on Thursday Morning

Congrats on feeling better and hoping for even better in the near future

@dextermorgan. Oh I will definitely try again…just had no time since I needed to get the kids to bed. Thanks for the tip. My toes thank you.

I agree on doing delt. Way easier

@dextermorgan. Here is your update on the B-12 suppliments you recommended… I have more energy and less fog and feel overall pretty good. I dont know if its the T or if the B-12 that is doing it but I imagine both are working hand in hand and for just 5 days on E3d teice a week shots…I bet it is helping. I do feel much better. Mood is much better. Brain is functioning better. My assertiveness is definately better. My attitude towards being proactive in getting things done is better. My parenting and patience is better. This is not placebo. I was barely able to make the attempt at being human a week ago… If this is the start and six weeks to three months down the road I am even better? I have no worries and am on cloud nine! Don’t get me wrong…I still struggle greatly everyday and a divorce and taking care of five kids and going to school on top of a 60 hour a week job is still a huge weight…but it is getting manageable when prior to TRT and supplements I was drowning and having some very troubling thoughts about life in general. I am able to process and make good decisions that give me a fair amount of peace of mind and that alone is worth it.

@dextermorgan. Oh yes…and I have added daily consumption of liver as well in the form of braunshweiger as of three days ago as well as a tin of sardines every other day.

As of yesterday I had the start of random erections. Not hard but getting there. No morning salutes yet… Libido for the first time in a very long time in the form of noticing women sexually. Good signs and better than before but not anywhere strong yet…

that’s terrific man

@simbosis
That’s great!

Last two hours really wierd symptom…my body just crashed out. Fatigue like id been up for days. Mind was alert…body crapped out… Fine now though… Things are moving around…

@roscoe88 @ncsugrad2002 @highpull @dextermorgan. @systemlord @hardartery @NH_Watts My good mood continues. Woke up pretty good at 3am even though I only got three hours of sleep last night and 4 the night before.
Energy is still higher then normal. Used to be a 1 out of ten, now it is about a 5.
Libido is higher today and noticing women more today. No MW yet but its only a matter of time.
I am finding it easier to be mindful of my thoughts and simply step back from them and let them go by and just observe them. The negativity does not drag me down constantly and I simply have a calmer and happier mindset. I am able to be more in the moment with my kids or friends. My sense of humor has returned.
My appitite has increased were before I didnt even have one. I am staying under 2000 calories a day and have a physical job but I have gained five pounds this last week. Assuming this is water weight due to rising Testosterone and hoping that as my estrogen follows suit, my water weight will go down and I will start losing weight. Estrogen is your friend ; )
My job performance is clawing up a notch in the last two days.
My anger and rage is falling to manageable levels. I have not cried in five days and that is fantastic. When sadness hits I can just acknowledge it and move on and get on to something else and it goes away quickly. I actually feel hopeful about things to come and find myself actually looking forward to new things and new days.

This is great. TRT is doing exactly what is should for you.

That’s great. Estrogen would cause the gain in water weight though, not reduce it. It wil gradually go away over time.

@hardartery. Man its so confusing looking at all the different data…one repirt says est causes water…another says test. One says est help weight loss in males…another says test… Meh…balances out and starts working is all that matters I guess. Dialing in. Whatever works for my body? Will figure it out. Set it and forget it. Re assess in a couple months.

The both cause water retention, but most estrogen causes water retention. Look at what happens to a man on TRT which crashes his estrogen using AI’s, he is urinating with increased frequency because he isn’t holding on to water like when his estrogen was healthy.

In fact when my estrogen was high, I rarely urinate at all, maybe once or twice daily. There is balance between needed between testosterone and estrogen, if you’re out of balance you may have problems with water retention.

Water retention primarely is a direct result of testosterone on the renin angiotensin system. Increased renal sodium reuptake increases the extracellular fluid.

Estrogens also play a secondary role.

@simbosis
If I don’t get at least 7 hrs of sleep (8 is better) I don’t get any of the positive effects of TRT. Make sure you get some quality sleep. I never slept more than 6 hours until I got on TRT. Feels like I need more sleep

@dextermorgan
I am sleeping better and waking easier but getting proper amounts is becoming very difficult due to my kids schedules, my work, and my school. I am going to have to restructure all of our lives a little to make time for more rest.

So, any efficacy or detriment in using a mild diuretic on TRT?

@johann77 @NH_Watts
I am curious about this as well…

@simbosis @NH_Watts

Unfortunately I dont know the answer. For me it turned out to be transient. Interestingly my E2 was at 22 (also were pre TRT was) when i had about 5kg water retention and at the next blood draw it was 50 with no symptoms of any water retention.

The volume overload could have an impact on your heart if you have heart failue, but as long as you have a healthy heart either way should be fine.
