As a dude in an LDR (sigh) one of the few activities we can do together is watch shows together while skyping or whatnot. And I’d say it’s easy enough to swallow as opposed to something like gossip girl. And she likes it better than something like Breaking Bad or the Walking Dead, so, yeah, it’s a reasonable compromise.
I’ve never watched glee but I saw part of an episode of gossip girl a couple of years ago and it was all about hot chicks fucking (of course they don’t show anything) - something I would rather watch than a bunch of dudes singing anyday.

I like it. The vocals are actually pretty good. The plots are retarded, but I still watch it for the music. To anyone who’s actually enjoyed singing in a choir, it’s a decent show.
The voices sound perfect because they autotune the hell out of 'em.
I usually enjoy covers, but these sound creepily perfect…too sterile, if you will.
THIS!
The autotuning is so thickly laid; it is so fake, sterile. Pisses me off infinitely when I hear what gets done to their voices.
Do people want to hear music? Listen to an orchestra play Dvorak.

So that’s your heavy squat day?
or do you hit up that stairmaster like theirs no tomorrow.
Nah, it’s the TBT-Functional-ABZ-BodyPump day.
The heavy squat day is obviously the one with single leg squats on a bosu ball with a pink dumbbell in one hand and a 1kg kettleball held over the head in the other.
Well I’m not saying that I watch it TO look at attractive women, I’m saying that I see the silver lining in watching a show like that with your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend(Wol)/whatever.
Never seen it but saw a cover of a magazine that had “glee” on it with a couple of good looking women. So, from what I gather from this thread it’s a show without original music and is comprised of heavily autotuned covers? Pop culture is getting shittier and shittier. When guys like Drake, Lil Wayne and Kanye West dominate music and shows like this dominate television we’ve really gone down a bad road.

Well, several of the stars are from Broadway, so they actually do sing well. Some of the stuff is overproduced, I’ll agree, but it’s not Britney type overproduced (except the song by Brittany S. Pearce).
Glee doesn’t bother me…but if you went to school for acting and performance, and grew up singing/acting/dancing like me, it probably would’nt. But still it’s not enough for me to watch the show…I’ve only seen one episode…i’d rather watch Sons of Anarchy or Walking Dead or Supernatural or Burn Notice or The Event or The Glades…
LOL…Who cares man…it gives t.v. variety. Not everyone has the same tastes.

I remember seeing an advertisement for it saying “the number 1 Musical Comedy show on TV!” - I’d like to know what was second - Law & Order or CSI perhaps?
I adore Glee, and I’m not ashamed.
Me too. Some of the characters are hilarious. The storylines are deceptively mature and complex, and…it’s infinitely better than the Twilight franchise.
Which, in this topsy-turvy world we live in, has spawned its own book section.
In this day and age, vampires, zombies, ghosts and werewolves don’t get zits but performing arts are the product of unspeakable evil (maybe true, but it depends on the cast and director).
