Spiders are my biggest fear, however they eat a lot of bugs so if they are outside, it’s ok.
BTW, there is a black one on the wall next to me, it hasn’t moved in a while but I’m gonna have to deal wit the little asshole soon I guess. This is why I need a man around, fml.
Arachnophobia is the most common phobia in the world. They are silent, fast, can climb, and have 8 legs. They are one of the few things that give me chills.
Those little winged rat bastards can kiss my hairy white ass. I am absolutely terrified by fucking bats in an enclosed space. Literally paralyzed with fear. Totally irrational and nothing I can do about it.
There I said it.
I remember your thread about bats in your kitchen - It was fucking hilarious!
I guess I am pretty weird in that I have no phobias. I am fine with heights, bugs, snakes, bats, rats, flying, water, closed spaces, wide open spaces, talking in front of people, needles (obviously!), clowns, carnies, the dutch… I can’t think of anything I have an irrational fear about.
That isn’t to say I don’t feel fear, I’ve gotten myself into a few jams in my day, but the fear was perfectly rational. Nor would I choose to do Fear Factor out of respect to my taste buds, but not because I am afraid of anything… Anyone else fearless? LOL
I live in florida, the particular golf course had alot of water and was pretty swampy. I tried finding the spider i saw on google but couldnt find it. Arnt spiders one of those animals that can keep growing in size as long as theres alot of food and nourishment. The area they were in had a bunch of bugs all around and no breeze and were right next to a lake. As far as the guy that said use the golf club, I feel that had i hit one down the other one would have flown toward me and latched on. then i would have a freakin 6 inch spider biting me over and over, scurrying all over my body. ( Sweet thought huh )

I don’t have very many fears myself…and surely not of any animals.
Same goes with the Fear Factor things. There’s no way i’d be able to eat many of the crap that they have on that show. I’d be fine with just about anything else, with the exception of eating the nasty shit that they do.

I saw some science show testing the strength of spider silk. It’s tensile strength is better than that of high grade steel. Pretty amazing stuff…
I’ll go ahead and be the buzz kill, if you pulled most materials into small enough fibers they reach a strength level unachievable in a bulk state… thats why people always claim spider silk is so strong… just like carbon nano tubes, they are strong as fuck but when you make them large enough to be useful in anything other then nano level things they will statistically have defects and fail…
spider silk is pretty sweet though, and was used as the bullet proof cloth before kevlar…
