In all honesty. You seem to maybe have some relation to EMS or at least some knowledge of it. If you are an EMS/Fire/Police/ER worker, thanks for your service, even if you are paid and it’s just your job, because it’s a tough one. I’ve had my own experience with drug addicts both in a service capacity and within my own family. Your experience may be different. I’ll agree to disagree at this point.

Not really a bleeding heart but probably a bit too compassionate. Not really righteous but have seen enough to believe not everybody “chooses” addiction - I know there is personal responsibility but believe help for those that are ready to take it is important.

AH! Teacher. That explains some things. It’s probably good you are a little too bleeding heart for my liking. And yes, kids and drugs is a bit of a tougher issue. A teen addict has less culpability and has generally had institutions/parents/society fail them.
I was a volunteer fire fighter and had my department ask me to get EMR certified to help with medical calls (because no one really wanted to do it and our department was starting to occasionally fail to respond when key people were out of town). I did start tagging along on calls and did complete my classes and get my license but I ended up moving shortly after and never really practiced as a licensed first responder. What you have to understand in the small towns is that the EMS workers know everybody. The guys who’ve been there doing it for ever could see an address and generally tell you who it was and what the problem was with no other information. So when you see a certain address with “unresponsive” listed, everybody knew who it was and what they’d done…. for the 3rd or 4th time.

THAT is what the ban was for? I’m absolutely stunned. Since it was Push - I didn’t know about you until yesterday - I assumed he’d finally done something so horrifically smutty, so over the top, that action had to be taken. Posted a picture of the inside of his butt, or something.
