Did my computer blow up? What gives it used to work just great. I use a tv as the monitor and now it doesn’t want to work. It loads the starting screen then gets to this part (see pic). It does it’s thing, restarts, passes the blue wall of text then doesn’t project a image on my TV and but it has power to the computer itself.
I use this strictly for internet and gaming. I have a added graphics card in it etc. Maybe my graphics card if pooched?
Let me know what you guys think. I want to play my Steam games lol.
No your computer ran check disk in that image. If you start slamming the F8 key from the moment you turn the PC on you’ll get a list of options, pick disable auto reboot on system fail or something of the like.
then if you’re getting a BSOD ( blue screen of death ) you can then get us an image of it or give us the error code.
But yes something has crapped out. And if it runs a check disk everytime it could be your hard drive, or it just could be from the BSOD reboot. Though I’ll lean more towards hard disk failure till I know more.
This, or a corrupt driver.
F8, and see if you can run a restore to an earlier time. Are you using Windows 7?
Did a bunch of stuff read in forums and I finally came across this and did the trick. The restore date I used was all the way back in May of 2011 ha. It was able to stay connected to the tv with automatic resolution adjustment and everything else. Working like it did…well I guess in May.
Thanks for the quick replies guys!

It may have been a corrupt driver in that case, BUT, make sure you backup any data just in case (you should be doing this anyway) and see if you get can get some diagnostics run on the hard drive to make sure it’s healthy.
For an antivirus, use nothing other than Microsoft Security Essentials, if you don’t already have it. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials
CrystalDiskInfo is a decent hard drive monitor for people that don’t want to use bootCDs
