I see what you’re trying to say, but I’m not sure the trend is explained by what you think it is. You are trying to insinuate that Latinos have more pride than whites and therefore would rather work then beg. I’m not sure this explains the phenomena you observe.
I think a lot of people are hesitant to give anyone money, let alone to someone who is almost certainly a U.S. citizen. Why the fuck would I want to give a hobo money who is probably here from a different country? It’s like if Iran kidnapped a bunch of Mexican journalists. I guess I’d think it’s a shame, but if they captured a bunch of Americans, I’d be freaking pissed. Get the picture?
