Kodiak cakes w butter and light syrup, 6 scrambled eggs with peanut butter, pound of 93/7% lean beef with 2 1/2 cups of white rice and sweet peas.
We chose to be a one income family when the kids arrived, so the wife does 90% of the cooking. She’s the health nut so it works out. I do the simple things like chopping food, steaming veggies, cleaning dishes etc…
She probably spends 1-2 hours per day on meal prep. We’ve gotten much more efficient by making bigger meals then we need and eating them 2 or 3 times in a row. Leftovers… Don’t complain about em if you know what’s good for you. On top of that we raise free range chickens for the eggs and have a huge vegetable garden. She’s a keeper.

anyone have a fridge porn photo? my fridge isn’t porn level, but just an example: 15 lb. of grape fruit, lots of lemon juice, coffee drinks, all kinds of green tea, several natural fruit juices (grapefruit mostly), apples, 3 bags of spinach, tomatoes, carrots, 3 x 2% fairlife milk, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk, hot sauces (cholula son!), large brown eggs, a few chicken skewers in there + some other chicken stuff, a few premade milk+coffee drinks. Also not pictured, lots of avocados, some cereal/oatmeal, san francisco sour dough bread, basmati rice, and kidney beans. oh I almost forgot there’s a quarter watermelon in the back, going to kill that tomorrow.

So I’ve been trying to carb cycle after years of eating lowish carbs. The high days are something like 255 grams. Last week I had a hard time getting them in without over shooting fat and protein. Today we ran into this waffle place by the park. They had a 40 minute wait but we figured ‘why not’.
The waffle was really good and honestly wasnt described well on the menu, a bit too much chocolate sauce. They brew their own beer so again why not. I’ve decided on my nominee for the 2017 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Lady and gentlemen: bourbon syrup. It tastes as good as it sounds. It’s like Canada and Kentucky got married. It was great in coffee. Unfortunately it wasn’t real maple syrup… cheap bastards.
Went camping this weekend. Our friends cooked a delicious Soup with carrot, kale, sweet potato, and sausage, and a grilled-corn chaser:

I did my beef prep last night. 10.5lbs of choice tri-tip. The steaks go into the bags with the flavor of choice; in this case I did some with teriyaki marinade, and the others with equal-parts soy sauce, balsamic vin, honey, and red wine, with garlic, black peppercorns, and a pinch of oregano. They go at 130 for 12 hrs, then go in an ice bath and into the fridge. I will follow-up with searing and slicing when it happens.
