I take the wife to a restaurant with a dress code once a year. Went to the LeMont which overlooks Pittsburgh.
My father in law’s financial advisor was there at the next table, nice guy. His wife got 25 years younger since the last time I saw them. She was trying to play doting step mother to his two resistant young daughters… a living cliche. Dinner, and a show.
I normally hate filet, but I ordered it here and it was amazing. They actually brought it rare like I asked. The scallops/shrimp/filet were covered in a sugary reduction sauce that must have been made of cocaine. It was awesome.

Some chicken tenders with gravy and rice.
Surprised wife and used some dehydrated black trumpet chanterelle I’ve had stashed for a while. That yummed it up a good bit!
