Thai curry is awesome.
Indian curry is not my thing at all.
How do you make your Pad Thai?
To each his own.
I would choose Indian because of the variety and the rich and dense flavor.
Thai curry is more of a soup. Still damn exquisite.
I’ve never had Thai curry. The couple of Indian ones that I’ve had were awesome though.
The last Thai food I had was from a generic chain place that just poured coconut milk over american style Chinese food, and that just plain sucked.
Sorry for you non-burg dwellers.
@SkyzykS
There are two places in Robinson to get Thai food. Thai Foon and Papaya. Fair warning, when they say that a dish is spicy, they aren’t messing around.
Hmmm…
I’d have to check with the wife on where she got it. It was somewhere up in the mega-shopping eating area by Firehouse Subs and all of that.
I love that horrendous heat as long as it comes with complimentary flavor. You ever eat at that Indian place on Atwood when you were down at Pitt? They had some good stuff. A couple of health violations here and there, but some really good curried goat and tandoori chicken.
Yeah it was good. As far as health code violations… That’s Oakland for you. Buying food near Pitt is a game of roulette. You’re guaranteed tasty awesome eats. You only have a 1/36 chance of getting dysentery.
If anybody gets the chance I Highly recommend visiting “Hot Star Chicken”.
That was my “cheat meal” for the week.

What is that? A giant hashbrown or elephant ear?
What’s in the cup that’s bright blue?
I’m confused.
This is a pic I just pulled off the net.
The giant elephant ear is a deep fried chicken breast (still with bone attached). I think they have butterflied the breast and then flattened it with a tenderizer. They ahve a choice of different spices they spice it with. I chose original.
Not sure what the blue drink is, but I personally paired my meal with a bubble tea. The sides I got (not in the picture) was deep fried mushrooms and lotus. It was delicious.

Butterflying the breast to increase the surface area for breading… somebody get them a Nobel Prize.
Cheers fella, drink looks perfect.
Looks like so much delicious. I would like to try for it. lol
