Creative…? Gotta give credit to the peeps in Hawaii for this help on my road to SHW

On this evidence it seems a bit strange but I think Hawaii is actually doing pretty well obesity wise vs the rest of the US

Petite sirloin was on sale for $2.77/lb. I bought 7 lbs and made beef tips in the pressure cooker. Had to be careful when stirring so-as not to break up the chunks of beef :joy:

Chuck roast braised in red wine with carrots and shallots; lentils; basmati rice; broccoli; Demi-glace.

So good that I forgot to take the scale away before I took the pic.

I started cutting before I took the pic, so excuse the mess…

Dippy eggs with sour kraut… game changer.

More meat and veggies. Haven’t been remembering to photograph my food until it’s gone.

Tonight was a little taste-test meal. I made strip steak 3 different ways by varying the liquid that the steaks cooked-in while in the sous-vide bath.

I made port-wine/balsamic (top-left), tart-cherry (center), and kaluha/cinnamon (bottom right). Finished each with a different sauce made from the “braise-liquid.” Fingerling potatoes and the omnipresent Brussels sprouts as sides. The best part? NY strip steaks were on sale for $3.77/lb, so all 3 steaks ran me a hair over $7.

I love egg on pizza, but Portuguese style with ham, olives, a little sausage, a little tomato sauce, and mozzarella. You can add onion and green peppers if you’d like.

I just found the greatest food ever, riced cauliflower. I never knew this existed but it’s an excellent replacement for rice in just about everything this side of sushi. I’ve even used it to make fried rice. Two cups of the stuff is 40 cals.

Today I discovered how delicious oatmeal cooked with pineapple is. Super sweet, and not as sticky/heavy as oats with bananas.

Looks like trash though so no pics for you

I just learned how to make a cheese sauce nice and smooth and creamy, so I did one using provolone, smoked gouda, and a nice sharp cheddar.

I can see my broccoli intake going up exponentially, but chances of any physique improvements are inversely proportional.

Eggs, dill, bocconcini and smokey Chipotle salsa. I added avocado on the side the second time I did this.
