First time attempting croissants. Used Chinese steam bun dough as the base and laminated with brown sugar.

I am a whore for croissants, and yours look great. And a pretty decent setup. I’ve never heard of using steam bun dough, that’s an interesting idea. Did it need as much butter as a normal one?

I used standard amount of butter.
The main difference is that the steam bun dough has a sweeter taste and malty aroma
And all of it really good.

Although I haven’t lived near a WH since I was 21, so I doubt I’ve ever had their food non-high. In fact, I probably have no idea whether that food is nasty or good.
