Food Porn Thread

I woke up to basically nothing in the house facing events training. My breakfast was:

  • vanilla protein powder turned into paste (just add a bit of water)
  • 2 tortillas wraps
  • a banana
  • peanut butter

Smear paste on one tortilla
Smear pb on the other
Stick together
Chop banana down the middle and roll up

Looking at it, I thought this was the worst thing ever. I was too embarrassed to take a photo but turned out not too bad!

lmao. sounds good, but imagine it “looked bad” like you said. I try not to mess with PB anymore, but I especially miss peanut butter haagen dazs ice cream.

It’s fun trying to figure out how to make something like that food pornish though. It’s a challenge.

peace!!

How are you cooking those sweet potatoes?

They look like a really good snack with that nice crispy browned side.

Just woke up very hungry and that pic is screaming to me.

Hah cool thanks! Yeah man they come out really good. I’m just using my big stir fry pan, heating up olive oil with a few pinches of salt, skinning & cutting up the sweet potato into those slices as pictured, then dropping them in on medium heat with, covered, for like 10-15 minutes. Flipping them around every 3 minutes or so. The initial “drop” seems to do the most “browning”, once they hit the pan with that hot olive oil, you really hear them “crack”. I think I actually leave it on that side the longest, when I initially drop them in. Maybe that’s more like ~5 minutes on that side.

About to make some more for my early dinner tonight. Making them alot lately because i’ve cut bananas out of my diet, which has seemed to help alot with my stomach. Sweet potato, even cooked like that, seems to agree with me very well.

peace!!

This came out really good, the chicken especially. The chicken is lemon glazed chicken from whole foods, which i’m not a huge fan of normally. But, I cooked it in olive oil, salt, and a ton of lemon juice, which just made it taste ridiculously good. It was very “succulent” lmao. Also squeezed lemon all over the watermelon and avocado, which seems to give them a kick too.

I like simple. I think I can pull that off.

Oh also just to add (just in case), I always end with using the “fork test”. Just gently pressing the fork into each piece, should be able to slice right in, at last that’s how I like em`.

Cool man, post some photos when you try it!

peace!

Going to deflower myself in this thread.

Chicken Jambalaya:

  • Fry off 250g of lean chicken sausages plus 750g of chicken thighs, all cubed - get some nice charred bits on it
  • take it out and add 3 crushed cloves garlic, 1 chopped onion, 1 green & red pepper, 2 carrots and some celery (scrape any burnt off chicken off the bottom of the pan)
  • when soft, add 1 cup rice plus cajun seasoning and stir
  • return the chicken
  • add 2 cups chicken stock, Worcester sauce and 400ml passata
  • cover, lower the heat and stir until the liquid is absorbed
  • throw in lots of frozen spinach, peas and corn
  • once it thaws it’s ready
  • I like it dry but it can be more liquidy

Makes 3 man serves or 4 smaller serves

If I wasn’t reheating this, I’d go with chorizo instead of sausage and prawns/shrimp over chicken.

The Mrs. was home fighting a cold yesterday, so I made some soup. First made fresh broth using the carcass from the roast chicken the other week, then turned it into soup with frozen kale and spinach, shredded carrots, chopped scallions/green onions/whatevers, cannellini beans, and every bit of chicken I could pick off the same bird. White rice made separately, served under the soup.

Just ate this, the saute’d yam came out extremely good. Also the pickles are a nice added feature. Also had some sea salt pita chips with roasted red pepper hummus.

We definitely need a Food Porn thread. That wonderful collection of pictures of deliciousness.
Those foods appear as if heart attacks waiting to happen.
Those burgers most likely contain 3000 calories alone.
I need to admit the bacon will look sensible. do relish collaborating within the act of change of state with a partner or maybe unaccompanied.Awesome. that is what I used to be hoping to ascertain here.We undoubtedly want a Food porn thread.

wut.

Potentially the first ever, yamcado tower. Saute’d yam & avocado. Had a bunch more avocado/yam but couldn’t fit it in the photo

I keep forgeting to take picks until I’m half way through the meal, pretty stoked to eat when I break the fast. So here is some “buttercup” squash with chicken quarters. It’s like a mix between a butternut and acorn, damn good.

Pork ribs cooked in cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice with butternut squash cooked in coconut oil, cumin salt and pepper.

Fried some home grown sage leaves in butter then drizzled over the top.
