Food For On the Go In DC

Hey Guys,

I’m traveling to DC to watch the inauguaration with a group from school. I was just wondering, what are some good snacks I could take besides jerky and nuts that I could pack in my suitcase and carry around for a few days?

Thanks,
Nate

Hey Im from the area. When in DC, there are alot of great restaurants on M street in Georgetown. I know that wasn’t your question but I thought I would let you know. Also, if you pre cook chicken, throw some salt and pepper on it, and break it up into little chunks of meat it makes a delicious snack. Also, I don’t know where you are from, but if you have access to deer baloney that would also be a nutritious and convenient snack.

Let me know if you are intrested in sites, things to do in the area, it’s where I call home.

meal: jerky, nuts, dried fruit
meal: a low-glycemic carb-based mrp, just add water
meal: make your own protein bars ala John Berardi recipe; don’t rely on store-based crap
meal: portable tuna/salmon packet you can get in any grocery store, nuts, dried fruit
meal: fast food places like burger king; get their chicken salad; it’s quite good actually and cheap. Hot chicken comes in it’s own bag to keep warm. Eat salad that comes with it; add nuts or dried fruit.

I could go on but this should be enough to get you started.
