Dumb question, for those who have done the Warrior Dash, do you think it could be done barefoot?
^^ummmm maybe? It would depend on what the specific course looked like but in the one I did we had to climb over these old cars and they were rusty… I wouldn’t want to go barefoot over that obstacle and possible cut my foot

How is running in Vibrams for those of you who do it, or have done it? Stories, reviews, any feedback would be great. I am thinking of trying them out, but ankle issues. One was fractured, and the other dislocated. Holla.

Much more enjoyable than running in regular shoes.
its a lot harder than regular shoes… A lot more of a workout for your lower legs. If you do decide to try them out look up a bare foot running program and make sure you break them in that way. Dont just try to start running like you normally do (assuming you run quite a bit already)

Yeah, this was me 5 months ago. Started out a bit slowly, about 3-4k in the first week. That felt incredible, so I amped it up to like 40k the next week… after everything I read about easing in.
I got the worst tendinitis in my forefoot that I have ever experienced, even walking was difficult for almost 3 weeks. It brought back my love for running, but I just overdid it. And most of the 2nd week’s 40k was on pavement. I had to ease myself back in to it, and now things are great.
I guess I should clarify that prior to getting vibrams I walked around in flips flops much more than regular shoes, so the flat sole wasn’t anything new to me.

I saw a few runners in my wave totally barefoot, they had no trouble.
