Fiscal Conservatism?

At the micro-level, well, before easy credit anyway.

I’ll just leave this here.

The spending package includes $695 billion in defense funding…

Endless funds for the military and John Bolton as NSA. Exactly as Trump promised. AMERICA FIRST!! Oh wait…

In his defense, the whole “get into a bullshit war and get reelected despite shitting the bed for 4 years” thing has worked before…

But last time the vocabulary was considerably better.

Exception: Rand Paul

It’s always way more complicated then people think.
Budget deals always have hanging pork-chads hanging off of them to appease constituents.
So they bloat to appease constituency. And then it has to be signed to get the main issues in the budget in to action.
So somewhere some dick got a million bucks to observe the sex lives of beetles vs. slugs.

I don’t disagree with a thing you posted, Pat.

What I do disagree with is (and the point of the thread) was the hypocrisy of any political party…or individuals professing a particular political ideology…pointing fingers at the other and saying “All “they” believe in is “Tax and spend” while “we” are about fiscal responsibility and balancing our Federal Budget”.

Bullshit.

Red State/Conservative Congress People have been found lapping at the trough as much as any Blue State ones, guaranteed.

I guess I’m wondering what the appeal is to vote GOP now if you’re below upper class.

Is it just don’t take my guns and build a wall?

Yeah, the bullshit factor lays at the feet of who’s in charge. Right now, it’s republicans.

What’s the appeal for voting for the democrats? Transgenders? Abortions? Hurt feelings? Microagressions? Restricted speech?
A platform for the folks on the margins who can place their misery and responsibilities on others who happen to be a majority?
Hardly appealing…
Whatever the faults of the GOP, the dems are not offering an appealing alternative.

Higher taxes on upper class to fund social programs, increased minimum wage, not having a spider web of illegal ties to Russia, and various “I don’t want to go to war with Iran” sentiments currently.

To name a few

Tbh I don’t really mind these days. People like Pat have done more for the downfall of the GOP than Hillary ever did.

Ironically, the GOPs greatest threat comes from within, just like the Dems

So they will put their money out of reach or leave, just like every time that’s happened in the past.

Too cause inflation? It doesn’t matter where the bottom is, it’s still the bottom, shit just gets more expensive to compensate.

What illegal ties to Russia? The Steele Dossier? As far as I have heard nothing has come out of the investigation yet.

Except for the billions generated in tax revenue that isn’t dodged? Putting money out of reach and/or leaving doesn’t actually happen en masse.

Minimum wage was created to scale with inflation. Many are simply asking the laws be enforced as designed

Then you haven’t been listening lol

Lol… Downfall? The GOP won 1005 of available seats through out the country. That was a red sweep, unlike any other.
The president was a lost cause either way… You think Hillary wouldn’t be buried in controversy? The clintons invented controversy in it’s modern form…

Was it?
