Test does shut me down pretty hard and i find i recover easier starting nolva as soon as i stop my test run nolva for 6 weeks and start dbol same time. Not sure why this is ?? but for me its gold.
Dropping 8% bodyfat and retaining 220lb on first cycle 8 weeks of test 500 mg i think will be very hard to do. Youll have to adjust your doses of ai to bloat, diet, cardio and things like that see how u respond to everything on cycle etc.
The test will bump up ur metabolism a little but it wont be night and day.
High carbs and loosing bodyfat dont go together very well…
i lean on about 50-60 grams of total carbs per day+caffein…my metabolism doesnt like carbs very much everyone is different but high carbs, i cant see you achieving what you want. you will put on fat.
8 weeks is not long enough for a bulk/cut cycle…just ur test will take 3weeks+ to kick in completely (thats with a frontload) and for a 1st cycle ur not now ready for a bulk/shread cycle…
If i was you id decide to cut or lean gain now…too hard doing both on a first cycle of 500mg.
Something like 240@ 13-16% as lean gain or 220@ 10-12% as cutter is probably more attainable i think after pct is all said and done.
All depends on diet, training, and cardio. Just my opinion

Thanks for your input. Ye im still not sure as to what my diet should be during the cycle, but my current idea is to have high carbs, medium-high cals and high protein so that i can gain some decent size. I dont intend on cutting during the cycle, i was going to bulk throughout the 8 weeks and continue bulking during the pct (which will be another 5-6 weeks) then begin to slowly cut some body fat. What do you think about this approach?
I was reading up on the amount of strength/size can be kept after the cycle of test-e and to my surprise it was 4/10 in terms of gains kept. Is this true for the general population? I’ve always thought that test helps keep gains. How much do you keep after a cycle and are there methods to help keep more gains eg. diet?

4/10 is bullshit if you do a proper PCT, train and eat correctly post cycle. That’s only 4lbs per every 10lbs gained on cycle. If that’s all you’re keeping, you’re doing something wrong.
If you keep protein high, intensity high (lower the volume a little, though), and get in enough total calories, you should keep most of your gains, if not all. Obviously, you’ll lose some water weight, though.

I would bulk on cycle, maintain through pct, maintain post cycle for some time then start leaning out. Why risk loosing the gains you made.
Dont try and bulk through pct…training volume used to bulk could be somewhat catabolic during pct.
I find it hard to lean out without AAS and retain weight/muscle/strength. I can do it but fat loss is slow 4 me when trying to retain strength and muscle with no AAS.
If you were planning to do more cycles after this one, i would leave cutting to next cycle you will get leaner and stay stronger.
But I dont know what u were planning or how well ur body will retain ur new strength/muscle while cutting. Ull have to figure that out
It seems that arimidex is quite expensive, is there something else i can use in replace of that or is not necessary?
letrozole but it may cost same or more
if u look good u should find liquid adex fairly cheap
