Most people donāt understand how fragile the built environment and the information ecosystem actually is.
Somewhere, there are good old fashioned generators and servers and wires and cables and control systems that enable all of modern life. None of it works without constant maintenance by blue-collar techs, and if it goes down, it canāt easily be rebooted.
It only takes one really big event to take it all down, and the AI wonāt be powered on to design a fix.
My one brother is a stake pool operator for digital currencies and has designed his own system with battery and generator back up systems that mirror each other on separate continents.
This neural link seems like it could have really helped a guy like Stephen Hawking. Itās too bad he was stuck with that primitive contraption to get his ideas across.
And before anyone tries to smear the man over his time in Epsteinās island, take a step back and look at the situation from a cosmic perspective.
Were the girls really āunderageā when they are made out of stardust that is billions of years old?
Thats very cool. But if data and power systems worldwide take a big enough hit, those digital currencies would be valueless without trading partners, and/or in the face of shortages of basic survival necessities (heat, food, etc).
Im just saying that āvirtual existenceā is fragile and it only takes one big hit to bring us back 200 years.
This is true for our fiat system as well.
100%.
The world is full of low IQ morons. Is this going to change that? I think some of these people see the world as potentially being like some futuristic science fiction movie or show. Like Star Trek which gave the impression that in the future there were no more idiots. Everyone has a triple digit IQ and a PhD. Letās be honest, someone will figure out how to use this with videogames and porn because thatās why the internet was invented in the first place.
Iām sure it will be in the mix.
They arenāt humans. According to Star Trek, humans are not the dumbest lifeforms in the galaxy.
Definitely new territory:
